8.05 lakh eligible voters included in revised list

About 8.05 lakh eligible voters have been included in the revised lists of voters in the year 2013 in Haryana.
          While stating this here today, Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Mr Shrikant  Walgad said that in compliance of the directions of Election Commission of India, the photo electoral rolls of all the assembly constituencies of Haryana  have been amended by including all eligible voters who had attained the age of 18 years or more as on January 1,2013.
          He said that the draft publication of these lists was done on October 1,2012. In case of those applications that were received between  October 1 and November 20,2012, all eligible votes were included and names of ineligible voters were deleted and the final publication of these voters lists will be done on January 15,2013 for inspection by the public, as fixed by the Election Commission of India.
          He has, therefore, appealed to the eligible citizens of the State to see for themselves the voter lists at their nearest centre of publication that is polling centre, concerned Booth Level Officer, Electoral Registration Officer or Assistant Electoral Registration Officer so as to ensure that their names existed in the list and all details are correct. They should also ensure that the names of ineligible voters have been deleted from the finally published list. He said that if there is any error in details or despite being eligible, their names have been deleted, they should submit the duly filled in prescribed forms No. 6, 6A, 7, 8 and 8A in duplicate to the office of concerned Booth Level Officer and obtain a receipt.
