The welfare of Ex Servicemen , Veer Naris and their dependents being an important aspect of welfare and to ensure that all veterans or their dependents get their entitled pension a Pension Adalat under the aegis of HQ PH&HP(I) Sub Area, Ambala in coordination with CDA (PD) Meerut is being held on 24 and 25 April at Ambala and Karnal. The aim of the pension adalat is to redress all pension related grievances to their Finality, with all concerned officials present at one place to avoid any inconvenience to the pensioners.
The Pension Adalat will be conducted as per the following schedule:-
(a) Ambala (two days) - Pensioners of Distt Ambala and Yamuna Nagar on 24 Apr and 25 Apr 2014, from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs near ECHS polyclinic Ambala.
(i) 24 Apr 2014 - only for pensioners of Distt Ambala.
(ii) 25 Apr 2014 - only for pensioners of Distt Yamuna Nagar.
(b) Karnal. (one day) pensioners of Distt Kurukshetra, Karnal and Kaithal on 24 Apr 2014 from 0900 hrs to 1700 hrs in Sector 12 ground, Karnal.
All grievances related to the under mentioned pension cases will be addressed :-
(a) No Pension.
(b) Pre 2006 pensions cases – incorrect adjustment.
(c) Disability pension.
(d) Family pension.
(e) Liberalized& special family pension.
(f) Unmarried daughter/widowed daughter cases.
(g) Dual pension cases.
(h) Non adjustment of outstanding dues and
(i) Any other pension related grievances.
The Pension Adalats are getting a big response from the veterans. So far more than 200 cases of Pension related grievances have been received since Feb 2014 and processed by the ESM Sahayta Kendra, Ambala and same will be settled through DPDO during the Pension Adalat. Registration of fresh cases is still going on and will continue till 21 Apr 2014.
Since such Pension Adalats have not been conducted at Ambala and Karnal for the last more than 10 years , therefore to ensure maximum veterans avail the benefit of these Pension Adalats , as per directions of HQ 2 Corps Registration counters have been set up at ECHS polyclinics and canteens in respective districts. In addition Units have been directed to interact with Ex Servicemen and assist them in filling their pension related grievances for settlement.
