Five Haryana IAS officers transferred

CHANDIGARH, JAN 7
The Haryana Government has issued posting and transfer orders of five IAS officers with immediate effect. Mr. Sandeep Garg, Secretary, Home-II Department and Joint Commissioner, Gurdwara Elections has been posted as Secretary, Finance Department against a vacant post.
          Mr.Saket Kumar, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as Director, Ayush vice Mr.Gulshan Ahuja.
          Mr.Vivek Atray, Director and Special Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department have been given the additional charge of Director, Renewable Energy vice Mr.Rajnarayan Kaushik, who has been posted as Additional Secretary, Home-II Department and Joint Commissioner Gurdwara Elections.
          Mr.Dhirendra Khadgata, ADC-cum-CEO, DRDA and Special Officer, APZ, Bhiwani has been given the additional charge of Secretary, Board of School Education, Bhiwani against a vacant post.
PROF PUNIA APPOINTED MDU VC: Haryana Governor and Chancellor of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Prof Kaptan Singh Solanki has appointed Prof. Bijender Kumar Punia, Professor, Business Management, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Vice-Chancellor of MDU, Rohtak for a period of three years or till he attains the age of 68 years.
DIGITAL UNIVERSITY CONCEPT:  In view of implementing the concept of Digital University, all Vice Chancellors of universities in Haryana are holding an important meeting on January 8 at Panchkula.
          A spokesman of Higher Education Department said that during this meeting, information related to preparations of IT projects in universities would also be sought. He said that in the meeting, Vice Chancellors would come with action report for the implementation of Digital University concept. Besides this, presence of IT Project Head of university is also mandatory along with details of data. He said that according to the directions of Chief Minister, the presence of all Vice Chancellors is important during the meeting.
FRESH GUIDELINES ON ACRs: Haryana Government has issued fresh guidelines regarding Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) of HCS officers posted as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or City Magistrates in the state.
          A circular issued by General Administration Department to this effect states that as per the revised guidelines, Deputy Commissioner would be the Reporting Authority and Financial Commissioner, Revenue in consultation with Divisional Commissioner concerned would be Reviewing Authority for ACRs of HCS officers posted as Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) or City Magistrates. The Accepted Authority of the their ACRs would be the Chief Minister.
CAUGHT RED-HANDED FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE: Chandigarh, January 7- Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught Balwant Singh, Meter Reader, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN), Sisai, district Hisar  red-handed while accepting illegal gratification of Rs 5,000 on behalf of Jagdish Chander, Foreman, DHBVN, Sisai, district Hisar from Om Parkash resident of district Hisar in lieu of new electricity connection.
            While giving this information here today, a spokesman of the Bureau said that a case has been registered under sections 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act at the Bureau Police Station in Hisar.
CM CONDOLES DEATH OF MUFTI: The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, has mourned the death of Mufti Mohammed Sayeed, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, who breathed his last at AIIMS in New Delhi in the morning. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, including PDP President Mehbooba Mufti, and a son.
          In a condolence message issued here today, the Chief Minister said, “Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was a great leader who belonged to the masses. His statesmanship moulded the lives of the people in Jammu and Kashmir. His death leaves a huge void which will never be filled. My heart-felt condolences to the family. May his soul rest in peace”.
