Haryana delegation to attend Singapore International Water Week

CHANDIGARH, JULY 9
 Haryana Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal is leading a delegation from Haryana to Singapore International Water Week-2018 being organised at Singapore till July 12, 2018. The delegation included MLA, Hisar, Dr. Kamal Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Public Health Engineering Department, Mr. Rajeev Arora, Special Secretary, Ms Pankaj Chaudhary, Engineer-in-Chief, Mr. Manpal Singh and others.
        Singapore International Water Week-2018 is a global platform to share and co-create innovative water solutions. This visit will help in knowing the latest solutions on advanced waste water treatment and water re-use. This event gives the opportunity to meet Environmental professionals and experts including senior politicians, government officials, industry leaders and heads of International organisations and discuss the best practices adopted by them.
        The Water Leaders Summit (WLS) presents an exclusive high-level gathering of global water industry leaders for exchanges with government regulators and policy think-tanks to discuss solutions to pressing water issues. 
        The Young Water Leaders Summit (YWLS) brings together water leaders of the future, and seeks to influence, equip, and transform them to become effective catalysts of continuous change in their home region and in the wider water world.
        The Water Convention welcomes water practitioners and leaders to share their best practices, strategies and applied technological solutions which address the challenges and provide opportunities under different themes. These included Delivering Water from Source to Tap, Effective and Efficient Wastewater Value Management, Water for Liveability and Resilience and Water Quality and Health.
CCSHAU TEAM SCALES KANAMO PEAK:  A mountaineering team of 18-member of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU), Hisar successfully scaled the Kanamo Peak of 19,600 ft. in Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh.
          While congratulating the mountaineering team, the Vice Chancellor of CCSHAU, Prof. K.P. Singh said that such campaigns inspire the students to live in odd situations and face the challenges of life.
          The Chairman of Mountaineering Club of the University, Dr Mukesh Saini and Dr Subhash Thori had led the team. The mountaineering team began the campaign from village Kibber in Spiti Valley which is among the highest inhabited villages in the world. The team stayed there for a day to acclimatize them and trekked to Monastery. After facing the bad weather and rain, the team reached the Advance Base Camp, and Summit Camp. From Summit Camp, the team started scaling the peak around 2:45 a.m. and by 8:15 a.m. hoisted the tricolour flag and flag of University on the peak.
          The team included five girls and 13 boys, namely Jyotsna, Gayatri, Priyanka, Chanchal and Pragati and Vikram, Mohit, Hardeep, Gaurav, Pawan, Akshay, Agrim, Harshvardhan, Ravinder, Anand, Mukul, Rajat and Deepak. Hardeep has been selected for best camper award.
ADDITONAL CHARGE: Haryana Government has given the additional charge of Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Sirsa to Amit Kumar, Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Ellenabad and Joint Director, Consolidation of Holdings, Rohtak, during the leave period of Rahul Hooda, with immediate effect.
