Haryana initiates various developments without any discrimination: CM

CHANDIGARH, AUG 20
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that the present State Government has undertaken various developments works in the State without any discrimination and besides making the life of people easier, efforts have been made towards giving a new direction to the society.
          Mr Manohar Lal was addressing the people at Pehowa in district Kurukshetra during the 3rd day of ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ today. He said that development works costing Rs 107.79 crore are either completed or in progress in Pehowa. While development works costing Rs 66.22 crore has been completed, works costing Rs 41.57 crore are in progress.
          He said that the present State Government has given a new direction to the society and taken steps for the welfare of all sections of the society including farmers, traders, shopkeepers and women. He said that quality of education has been enhanced and for this new colleges have been opened in the State. Similarly, Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) have been upgraded. He described 2.5 crore population of the State as his family and said that his religion is to serve the people.
          While describing Pehowa in district Kurukshetra as a holy city, the Chief Minister said that Lord Krishna delivered celestial message of Bhagwad Gita to Arjuna in Kurukshetra and the present State Government is working accordingly, he added.  
          He said that development works costing crores of rupees has been got completed in Pehowa. These included construction of Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) at a cost of Rs 9.92 crore, work of Pehowa-Cheeka road (SH-06) at a cost of Rs 8.22 crore, construction of HL Bridge 7 Spans 23.50 M, on Thanesar-Jhansa road near Jhansa on Markanda  river at a cost of Rs 9.86 crore, strengthening of Ambala-Hisar road from Thanesar  via Surmi at a cost of Rs 7.17 crore, repair of Thanesar-Pehowa road at a cost of Rs 6.41 crore and renovation of Pehow minor at a cost of Rs 5.88 crore. Similarly, RCC pipe lines have been laid from Narwana branch to Saraswati Tirath at a cost of Rs 8.61 crore and improvement work of Markanda distributor at a cost of Rs 10.15 crore.
          The Chief Minister said that apart from this, development works worth crores of rupees are in progress in Pehowa including the construction of 50 bedded Hospital Saraswati Khera Bhatta Mazra at a cost of Rs 18.01 crore, rehabilitation of distribution network at a cost of Rs 7.01 crore and rehabilitation of Sewerage Treatment Network in Ismailabad and expansion of scheme at a cost of Rs 16.55 crore.
           Member of Parliament Mr Nayab Singh Saini, Minister of State for Cooperation Mr Manish Kumar Grover, Media Adviser to Chief Minister Mr Amit Arya, OSD to Chief Minister Mr Amrinder Singh and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
Meanwhile,  Mr Manohar Lal today dedicated various development projects worth about Rs 3816 lakh to the people of Ambala before starting  ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ from Ambala on the third consecutive day. He inaugurated the building of Government Women College in Shahzadpur Baragarh, Ambala constructed at a cost of Rs 1673 lakh.
           The Chief Minister also inaugurated the upgradation of CHC Mullana on which a sum of Rs 568 lakh has been incurred. He also inaugurated the upgradation of PHC Brara to CHC at a cost of about Rs 675 lakh. Apart from this, he also inaugurated a new ITI in village Nohani constructed at a cost of Rs 900 lakh.
           Member of Parliament namely Mr Sanjay Bhatia and Mr Nayab Singh Saini, MLA Mr Aseem Goyal, Media Adviser to Chief Minister Mr Rajiv Jain and other prominent personalities were also present on this occasion.
