The
Haryana Government has appointed Mr DPS Nagal, Commissioner, Gurgaon Division
as the Inquiry Officer to inquire into background, circumstances and
consequences of the large scale violence and destruction of Government and
private property on August, 30 at Dharuhera, District Rewari and connected
events.
While
stating this here today, an official spokesman said that he would look into the
matter with particular reference to the promptness, effectiveness and
adequacy of response of Police and Civil Administration in prevention and
control of the incident and its
effects, identify the methods and motives of those who indulged in the violence recommend practical steps that should be taken to control and prevent such incident in future.

The
report in this regard would be submitted to the government within 30 days.
