Haryana Government has constituted Traders Welfare Board under the chairmanship of Mr. Gopal Sharan Garg. While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Board would comprise as members Additional Chief Secretaries, Finance, Food and Supplies, Labour, and Excise and Taxation Departments, Principal Secretaries, Industries, Power, Mines and Geology and Environment Departments and ten representatives of trade and industry to be nominated separately by the government.
The Board would address the problems and issues of traders and take redressal measures, besides working as a bridge between State Government and traders. It would initiate social security and insurance schemes for traders, promote investments and employment in Haryana and analyse the law and by-laws of various Departments relating to traders. The Board would also suggest simplifications in the Acts and Rules applicable to traders and establish a Traders Welfare Fund.
Mr. Gopal Sharan Garg, who was born in district Mahendragarh on May 10, 1956, has held different positions in organisations such as Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Suraksha Manch, New Delhi, Akhil Bhartiya Udyog Vyapar Mandal, New Delhi, S.S. ndustrial Association, Haryana, Sanyukt Vyapar Parishad, Mahendragarh (Narnaul), Retail Cloth Merchants Association, Narnaul, The Marble and Sanitary Ware Association, Narnaul, and Laghu Udyog Bharti Haryana. He was also elected as Councillor in Municipal Council, Narnaul in 1987 and 1991.
GITA MAHOTSAV: Brahma Sarovar at Kurukshetra, the venue of International Gita Mahotsav-2016 to be held from December 6 and 10, 2016, has already come alive with tourists and folk artistes from across the globe arriving to participate in the grand event celebrating the creation of Shreemad Bhagavad Gita.
The early arrivals include international boxer, Mr. Manoj Kumar, who went around the venue and got a tattoo symbolising the festival painted on his hand today. He described the tattoo as not only a warm invitation to participate in the celebrations, but also as a symbol of the cultural heritage of the State.
Expressing joy over the opportunity to participate in the Mahotsav, other visitors also said that the colourful atmosphere lent an added charm and excitement to the festival.
The venue is already chock-a-block with tourists, folk artistes, artists and other people from different walks of society.
SIX LECTURERS PROMOTED: The Haryana Government has promoted six lecturers in Technical Education Department to the post of senior lecturer, apart from promoting two foreman instructors as workshop superintendents and four workshop instructors as lecturers.
Those promoted as senior lecturer include Hitesh Kumar, Digpal Singh, Subhash Chandra, Satvinder Singh, Pardeep Kumar and Alok Singh.
While Vijay Kumar and Shamsher Singh have been promoted as workshop superintendents, Harjeet Chawla, Rajesh Kumar, Ms. Preeti Girdhar and Arvinder Singh have been promoted as lecturers.
