Ethiopia appreciates efforts of Haryana Police

CHANDIGARH, JULY 28
 The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has appreciated the efforts being made by Haryana Police for maintaining law and order situation in the State, and has evinced keen interest in mutual exchange of best practices being adopted by police forces in Haryana and Ethiopia.
        This was disclosed by First Secretary, Embassy of Ethiopia, Mr. Zenebe, who, along with advisor of the Commissioner General of the Federal Police of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Mr. Haneta GM, called on Haryana Director General of Police (DGP), Mr. B.S. Sandhu, here today to discuss issues relating to structural and operational organisation of Haryana Police. 
          Experience-sharing session regarding Haryana Police and the police forces in Ethiopia was held on the occasion. The discussion was focused on training of police forces, law and order situation, and the crime scenario, particularly heinous crimes and human trafficking. The Ethiopian delegation was briefed about the procedure adopted for private security agencies in Haryana. 
          Expressing appreciation for the efforts being made by the Haryana Police, Mr. Haneta requested the DGP to send a delegation of police officers to Ethiopia for mutual exchange of best practices between both the police forces. 
          The DGP also presented a memento to Mr. Haneta on behalf of Haryana Police.
