CM to hold meeting with Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 19
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal will hold a meeting with all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners through video conference at Chandigarh on April 20, 2018 to review various issues of the state.
        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the Chief Minister will review wheat procurement operations, Antyodaya Seva Kendra Scheme, progress under Gram Swaraj Abhiyan and progress regarding construction of Shamshan Ghats in villages in the meeting.
          He said that the Chief Minister will also review the preparations to deal with drinking water and power supply during summer season,   preparations to deal with any flood situation during monsoon and celebrations of Civil Services Day scheduled to be observed on April 21, 2018.
        Administrative Secretaries of various departments such as Revenue and Disaster Management, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Power, Health, Administrative Reforms, Public Health Engineering, Social Justice and Empowerment, Development and Panchayats, Irrigation and Urban Local Bodies would also attend the meeting to be held at main committee room, 4th floor, Haryana Civil Secretariat on April 20 at 3:30 p.m.
 MAHABHARAT THEME BUILDING: Haryana Tourism Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that a Mahabharata Theme Building is being constructed at Jyotisar in district Kurukshetra for development of Jyotisar Tirth under Tourism Infrastructure. A sum of about Rs 31 crore would be spent on this project.
        Reiterating his commitment to promote tourism in the state, Mr. Sharma said that in the Mahabharata Theme Building, special events related to Mahabharata would be depicted through artwork which would enhance the knowledge of tourists about Mahabharata.
          The Minister said that a sum of Rs 31 crore would be spent on the first phase of this building. He said that work to the tune of Rs 1.50 crore has been completed and work to the tune of Rs 6.30 crore was under progress. Apart from this, tenders to the tune of Rs 9.90 crore have been floated on which work would soon begin. The remaining work would soon be got completed, he added.
WUVVM CONFERENCE: Haryana will host the next World Union of Wholesale Markets (WUWM) Conference at Gurugram in the month of October this year as an agreement in this regard has been signed between Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P Dhankar and Mr. Don Donald Chairman, WUWM at Barcelona.
         A high-level delegation led by Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Mr O.P Dhankar is on its visit to Barcelona, Spain to attend the WUWM Conference and study the best market practices.
         The WUHM is an International Organisation of 65 countries having members of around 200 Wholesale Markets across the World. It has its Four Regional Groups for Europe, Asia, Latin America and Africa. This is the only apex organization dealing exclusively in Agricultural Produce Wholesale Markets irrespective of their Management pattern, may be Government, Local Authority, Private, Public-Private jointly. The objective is to promote Wholesale Markets across the world in uniform manner by systems, processes, technology, transparency and trade by exchange of information.
