Honorary posts of HCS and HPS officers for gold medalist sportspersons

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 11
The Haryana Government will give honorary post of HCS and HPS officers to the gold medalist of Olympics, Asiad and Commonwealth Games.
   This was stated by Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi while addressing the media persosn shortly after the Cabinet meeting here today.
    He said that such players would render their services for the promotion of sports. However, they would be given the status of regular HCS and HPS officers after the passing of prescribed exam either by HIPA or any other government agency.
OLD AGE ALLOWANCE: The Haryana Government has decided that the benefit availed by the beneficiaries under the Old Age Allowance Scheme by suppressing true information would be recovered.
          A decision to this effect was taken in the meeting of State Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today.
          It was decided that the benefit given for the ineligible period would be recovered by the Department by way of deducting 50 per cent amount from the monthly pension of the beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the government has also decided that notices issued and FIRs registered against such beneficiaries would be withdrawn.
NEW NAME OF UNIVERSITY: Haryana Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today, approved the proposal of the Technical Education Department to rename the University of Science and Technology by amending the YMCA University of Science and Technology Act, 2009.
          The change in the name of the University has been effected for its identification as a Government University.
          The Cabinet also approved the proposal of the Urban Local Bodies Department to sell land measuring 10.65 acres of Municipal Corporation, Panchkula to the Railway Department for construction of Chandigarh-Baddi New Broad Gauge Railway Line.
          The Cabinet also approved the proposal of the Urban Local Bodies Department to extend the Sabzi Mandi Mahendragarh by selling the land measuring 4,840 square yards to the Market Committee Mahendragarh at the rate of Rs 5,610 per square yard at collector rate plus Rs 80 per square yard as development charges.
          The YMCA University of Science and Technology, Faridabad will now be known as J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology YMCA, Faridabad.
A State-of-art Rehabilitation Centre for fitment of artificial limbs shall be set up at Nawada Tigaon in district Faridabad.
REHABILATION CENTRE: A State-of-art Rehabilitation Centre for fitment of artificial limbs shall be set up at Nawada Tigaon in district Faridabad.
          The Haryana Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today, approved the proposal of the Development and Panchayats Department to give the land of Gram Panchayat Nawada Tigaon on lease to Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India to set up the said Centre.
          The land will be given on lease for a period of 33 years at a rate of Re one per acre per year. The lessee shall not further transfer or sub-lease the land. The trees standing on the proposed land shall continue to vest in the Gram Panchayat and shall be disposed of by the Gram Panchayat in accordance with the provisions of law as per requirement of lessee. The lessee shall put the land to the permitted use within five years from the date of commencement of lease period. However, this period can be extended for another two years in case there is sufficient justification.
2ND GENERATION OF ETHANOL PLANT: A 2nd Generation Ethanol Plant of 100 KLPD capacity will be set up by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Bohali in district Panipat.
          The Haryana Cabinet, which met under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal here today, approved the proposal of the Development and Panchayats Department to sell land measuring 59 kanal 11 marla of Gram Panchayat Bohali, district Panipat to Indian Oil Corporation Limited for setting up of the said 2nd Generation Ethanol Plant.
          The Plant would generate ethanol by using paddy straw as raw material. Therefore, it will help in management of paddy straw leading to lesser requirement of in-Situ management.
