Haj Committee fixes one Saudi Riyal to Rs 16.0729

Haj Committee of India has fixed the foreign exchange rate of one Saudi Riyal as equal to Rs 16.0729 towards expenditure in foreign exchange in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia during 1434 (H) -2013 (AD).
While stating this here today, a    spokesman of Haryana State Haj Committee said that as regards disbursement of Saudi Riyal 2100  to the Haj pilgrims before departure at the embarkation points, the exchange rate fixed is, one Saudi Riyal equal to Rs14.98.  Selected pilgrims are adviced to deposit the balance amount in accordance with the accommodation category opted by them and their foreign exchange entitlement deducting the amount of Rs. 76000  already paid towards advance foreign exchange. 
The last date for remittance of balance foreign exchange and advance airfare amount to the Haj Committee of India, Mumbai has been fixed as July 27, 2013.
He said that the for Green Accommodation Category, the balance amount payable would be Rs 1,06,100 after deducting the advance of foreign exchange of Rs 76,000  already paid. Similarly, for Aziziya category accommodation,the total amount payable would be Rs. 76,050 after deducting the already paid 76,000.
He said that the balance amount of foreign exchange alongwith an advance airfare were required to be remitted through Core Banking System across various branches of the State Bank of India, having this facility throughout India, to the Haj Committee of India’s current Bank Account number. “Fee type-25” Indicating their cover number, Bank Reference Number, branch name and code on the pay-in slip.  
 The pilgrims are also advised to check their accommodation category as available on website www.hajcommittee.com before making balance payment.  No further correspondence in this regard will be entertained and payment has to be made as per the allotted category only not as opted in Haj application form.
The pilgrims are advised to adhere to the deadline fixed by the Haj Committee of India, so as to avoid any inconvenience at a later stage, he added.
