CM to address SDG inaugural session

CHANDIGARH, JULY 4
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal will address the inaugural session of workshop on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) - Implementing Sustainable Development Goals in Haryana: 2030 Action Plan being organized here on July 5, 2016.
            While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that   Haryana Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu and UN Resident Coordinator and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Resident Representative in India   Mr Yuri Afanasiev would also address the delegates.
            The spokesman said that Technical Session of the workshop would be chaired by Haryana Chief Secretary Mr D.S Dhesi  along with   Mr Yuri Afanasiev. He said that apart from this, Mr Yuri Afanasiev would   speak on the topic of planning for SDGs. He said that while Technical Advisor, World Health Organization Dr. Paul Francis  would  share examples on SDG3: Good Health and Well Being,  the representative, office for India, Bhutan, Maldives and Sri Lanka, UN Women, Dr  Rebecca Tavares would share examples on SDG5: Gender Equality.
          He said that Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, UNICEF Mr K.D Maiti would speak on  the topic of Monitoring the SDGs at the State and District level and Management Specialist, UNDP Mr Ratnesh would speak on working towards  a vision document for Haryana.
            He said that a question and answer session would also be held during the workshop.
ADDITIONAL CHARGE:  Haryana Government has ordered that Mr Rajiv Rattan, Additional Secretary, Health Department and Mission Director, National Rural Health Mission and Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration will also hold the charge of Director, AYUSH during the leave period of Mr Saket Kumar.
