60,000 sewing machines to be distributed among registered women labourers

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 4
Haryana Labour and Employment Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that on the occasion of Lord Vishwakarma Jayanti, a state-level labour rally would be orgainsed onSeptember 17 in Sonipat. During the rally, sewing machines would be distributed to 60,000 registered women labourers to make them self-reliant. 
    The Minister disclosed this while presiding over the review meeting regarding preparations of the rally and allotment of duties to officers that held in Karnal today.
    He said that Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal, Union Minister of Labour and Employment along with other ministers would remain present in the rally. Besides this, labourers in large numbers would be present from different parts of the state and many schemes for their welfare would be announced during the rally.
    He said that in view to facilitate the labourers, ESI hospitals were being up-graded to 100- bedded hospitals which included 80-bedded hospital in Jagadhari, 75- bedded in Panipat and 50- bedded in Faridabad.  Besides this, new ESI hospital of 250 beds would be constructed in Bawal of Rewari district and 100-bedded hospital in Bhadurgarh, to provide the labourers with excellent healthcare services.
