HUDA industrial areas to be transferred to HSIIDC

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 4
Haryana Chief Minister  Manohar Lal today said that industrial areas of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) would be transferred to Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) so as to avoid any inconvenience to the industrialists in the State.
Mr Manohar Lal was addressing the industrialists of Rewari, Dharuhera and Bawal in a meeting held in Rewari today.
The Chief Minister said that apart from this,  a new system would be evolved to maintain proper coordination with the industries at district level and under this, the scope of District Industries Centre could be further enhanced. He said that approval has been granted for the setting up of 15 clusters in the State for the effective management and disposal of solid waste. Tenders have been invited for three clusters namely Gurugram, Faridabad and Sonipat, he added.
While exhorting the industrialists to also work in the fields of health education and villages, he said that they should contribute maximum through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and become a partner in the development process of the State. He said that today being an era of Information Technology (IT), special emphasis is being given on providing various facilities online.
He said that industries have played a vital role in the development of the State and therefore, the State Government is implementing new schemes and policies to enable the industrial sector to flourish. He said if any industry faces any problem the same would be resolved one-by-one. He also appealed the industrialists to deal with the labourers through Psychological methods. He said that the act of taking over the possession of factory plant by the labourers would be declared as illegal and a circular in this regard would soon be issued.
The Chief Minister said that the economic condition of any State largely depends upon the condition of its industries. He said that now there is no VAT system after the implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in the country. He said that under GST Act, the State’s income depends upon the goods purchased by the buyers and therefore, the industries in Haryana should ensure giving maximum employment to the youth of the State. With this, the money earned by the youth would be spent in the Haryana only and the State would be able to generate income through GST.
He said that the State Government would soon gather information about the work force in the interest of the State. He said that the State Government has set up a Skill Development University in Palwal in which training courses for the industrial workers had already been started. He said that the industrialists should give training to the youth as per the industry requirement and also give them employment.
Various other issues were also discussed in the meeting. The Chief Minister gave necessary directions to officers concerned to resolve the problems being faced by the industrialists at the earliest.
