Haryana plan to train untrained teachers

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 12
The Haryana Government has a plan to introduce a course to provide training to untrained teachers working in government and private schools in the state, which would also include B.Ed and D.Ed courses.
        This was disclosed by Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma, who was interacting with media persons after redressing the grievances of people in a monthly meeting of District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee in district Bhiwani today.
        He said that Union Human Resource Development Minister, Mr. Prakash Javadekar had informed all Education Ministers and Secretaries of School Education Departments in the country through video conferencing on August 16, 2017, that the Central Government would provide training to untrained teachers working in government and private schools. He said that for this training, the teachers would have to apply online and get registered on ‘Swayam’ portal.
        When his attention was drawn towards the fact that the last date for getting registered is near and still the option of B.Ed is not available on the portal, Mr. Sharma said that the Cabinet meeting would be held here on
September 13 and after that this matter would be discussed.
        Replying to another question, the Minister said that action would be taken against those private schools which violate rules and regulations. The State Government is committed towards the future of students and directions have been issued to schools for compliance of Rules and Regulations.
RAJNI SIBAL GOEST TO CENTRE: Haryana Government has placed the services of Mrs Rajni Sekhri Sibal, Additional Chief Secretary, Science and Technology Department at the disposal of Government of India for her appointment as Director General, Employment and Training, Union Ministry of Labour of Employment, with immediate effect.
