17.28 lakh MT paddy arrives in Haryana mandis

CHANDIGARH, OCT 9
 In Haryana, more than 17.28 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been arrived so far in mandis, out of which government procuring agencies have procured over 17.01 lakh metric tonnes whereas 27,314 metric tonnes paddy is purchased by millers and dealers. 
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department said that out of the total arrival, more than 17.19 lakh metric tonnes of paddy was leviable.
          He said that out of the total arrival, more than 8.24 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been purchased by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, over 5.77 lakh metric tonnes by HAFED, 1.51 lakh metric tonnes has been purchased by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation and 1.47 lakh metric tonnes by the Haryana Agro Industries Corporation. 
          While referring to arrival in mandis of different districts, the spokesman said that over 4.92 lakh metric tonnes in Kurukshetra, over 4.42 lakh metric tonnes in Karnal, over 3.01 lakh metric tonnes in Kaithal, over 2.69 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in Ambala, over 1.16 lakh metric tonnes in Yamunanagar, 44,420 metric tonnes in Fatehabad, 42,060 metric tonnes in Panchkula, 9,260 metric tonnes in Panipat and 9,858 metric tonnes paddy has arrived in Sirsa.
