Haryana Chief Minister flags off 'Run for Unity

CHANDIGARH, OCT 31
 The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal Khattar, released a balloon to flag off ‘Run for Unity’, a marathon organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, at Hisar, today. Thousands of people from all walks of life participated in the marathon.
            Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said under the leadership of the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi, the bonds of unity in the country had been strengthened by organising the ‘Run for Unity’. It is very important for us to remember the significance of being united as a nation.
          He exhorted the people, especially the youth, to move forward with passion and enthusiasm and contribute to the betterment of the society and nation-building. 
            The Chief Minister, who also participated in the event and ran to motivate the runners, administered the pledge of unity and integrity of nation to the people on this occasion.   
          The ‘Run for Unity’ started from gate number 4 of the Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University and concluded near the Home Science College of the university.
          BJP State President, Mr Subhash Barala, MLA Dr Kamal Gupta, and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.

e-APPOINTMENT SERVICE: In Haryana, after the success of e-Disha system, the District Administration, Karnal, has taken one step forward by initiating new service e-appointment.
            While giving this information, an official spokesman said that so far, over 70,000 owners of vehicles have been given e-appointment and necessary documents related to their vehicles have been prepared. Through this, a common man would be able to get an appointment from the officer for resolving his problem and the concerned officer would allot the applicant a fixed time. 
            He said that initially, this facility has been begun in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Additional Deputy Commissioner, all Sub Divisional Magistrates, District Revenue Officer and District Development and Panchayats Officer. After this, the service would be extended to all other offices. Karnal has become the first district in the state to have taken this initiative.
RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS: A special program was organized on ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ to commemorate the 142th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in Haryana Civil Secretariat here today.
    During the programme, Haryana Secretary, Personnel, Training, Vigilance and Parliamentary Affairs Departments, Mrs. Neerja Shekhar administered pledge of unity and integrity of nation to the officers and employees of Haryana Civil Secretariat.  Mrs. Shekhar paid floral tribute to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and said that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel had laid the foundation of unity and integrity of the country.
