Haryana Vidhan Sabha pays tributes to prominent personalities

CHANDIGARH, OCT 23
The Haryana Vidhan Sabha today paid tributes to prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current winter session, which commenced here today. The members of the House also observed a two-minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.
          The Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal, who is also the Leader of the House, paid tributes to Union Minister of State, Mr Anil Madhav Dave, Member of Parliament, Mahant  Chand Nath Yogi, former Member of Parliament, Mr Narain Singh, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Jaleb Khan, former Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Dr Brij Mohan Gupta, Marshal of the Indian Air Force, Mr Arjan Singh, freedom fighters and martyrs of the state, who sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country.
          Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr Kanwar Pal also read out obituary resolutions and paid tribute to the departed souls. Congress Legislature Party leader, Mrs Kiran Choudhry and Mr Jaswinder Singh Sandhu of INLD also read obituary resolutions on the behalf of their parties.
          The freedom fighters who have been paid homage in the House are Mr Khubi Ram of village Nakhdola, Gurugram, Mr Prabhati Lal of village Dohar Kalan, Mahendragarh, Mr Desh Ram of village Chhawa of district Rewari, Mr Ram Jas of village Phoolan, Faridabad, Mr Kundan Lal of village Dhani Dadi Jakhal, Fatehabad, Mr Deshraj Pardesi of Panchkula, Mr Kartar Singh of village Gledwa, Kurukshetra and Mr Chuhar Singh of Ambala Cantt.
          The House also paid homage to martyrs of the state who have showed indomitable courage and sacrificed their lives while safeguarding and protecting the unity and integrity of the country. They included Colonel Manu Tandon, Sub-Lieutenant Atul Kumar, Subedar Dharmender Singh, Subedar Vikram Singh, Naib Subedar Anil Kumar, Havildar Balraj Singh, Havildar Satyanarayan, Havildar Satender Singh, Lance Naik Vinod Kumar, Lance Naik Suresh Singh, lance Naik Devender Singh, Depoy Ashok Kumar, Sepoy Hari Parkash, Sepoy Mahesh Kumar, Sepoy Jaswant Singh, Sepoy Pradeep, Sepoy Hanuman Singh, Sepoy Rajesh Sharma, Sepoy Pradeep Kumar and Havildar Manjit  Singh
          The House also placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad demise of Mr Rohsan Lal Sharma, brother of Education Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma, Mr Atul Aggarwal, niece’s husband of Industry Minister Mr Vipul Goel, Mr Devi Lal, cousin of Mr Kuldeep Bishnoi, MLA and brother of former CPS, Mr Dura Ram, Mrs Ahilyawati, sister of Mr Subhash Barala, Mrs Raj Rani, aunty of Mr Subhash Sudha, MLA, Mrs Sunita Khera, sister of Mrs Krishan Gehlawat, former Minister, Mrs Saroj, aunt of Prof. Chattar Pal Singh, former Minister, Mrs Hajra Begam, aunt of Mr Aftab Ahmed, former Minister, Mr Ishwar Singh, brother of Mr Somvir Singh, former MLA, Mrs Shyama Devi, wife of Mr Jai Parkash Gupta, former MLA, Mrs Santara Devi, wife of Mr Jai Narayan Khuriya, former MLA, Mr Sandeep Gambhir, son of Dr Malik Chand Gambhir former MLA and Mrs Shakuntala Ahlawat, daughter-in-law of Mr Fateh Singh, former MLA. 
          The House also paid tributes to those who lost their lives during violence in Panchkula and Sirsa.
