Haryana Vidhan Sabha passes obituary resolutions

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 7 
On the first day of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha session, which commenced here today, obituary resolutions were passed to pay rich tributes to those prominent personalities who have expired between the period from the end of the previous session and the beginning of the current session.
                   Leader of the House and Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal paid tributes and read out the obituary resolutions. These including former Prime Minister, former speaker of Lok Sabha,  former Governor, former Chief Minister, former  Member of Parliament, former member of Rajya Sabha, former  Minister, former member of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, freedom fighters, martyrs of Haryana  and close relatives of members of Haryana Vidhan Sabha. The members of House also observed a two minute silence to pay homage to the departed souls.
          Speaker Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Mr Kanwar Pal also read out the obituary resolutions and paid tribute to the departed souls.
          Leader of Opposition Mr Abhay Singh Chautala, Leader of Congress Legislative Party (CLP) Mrs Kiran Choudhry, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prof Ram Bilas Sharma and former Chief Minister and MLA Congress Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda also read obituary resolutions on behalf of their parties.
          Those who have been paid homage in the August House included  former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna, Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Governor of Chhattisgarh, Mr Balramji Dass Tandon, former Speaker of Lok Sabha Mr Somnath Chatterjee, former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Dr M. Karunanidhi, former Member of Parliament, Mr Ramchandra Bainda, senior Journalist and former Member of Rajya Sabha, Mr Kuldip Nayyar, former Minister of Haryana, Mr Shyam Chand, former Minister of State, Mr Jai Singh Rana, Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Dr Hari Chand Middha, former Member of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Mr Gauri Shanker, Jain Muni Shri Tarun Sagar Ji and  prominent Hindi poet, Mr Gopaldas Neeraj.
        Tributes were also paid to freedom fighter namely Mr Naseeb Singh Chokar of Bhuna and 24 martyrs of the state who have showed indomitable courage and sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the unity and integrity of the country. These  included Assistant Commandant Penny Chaudhary of Karnal, Assistant Sub Inspector Rohtash of Budha Khera district Jind,  Havildar Lila Ram of village Malra Sarai district Mahendergarh, Havildar Rajesh Kumar of village Madan Heri district Hisar,  Havildar Surender Singh of village Kheri Bura district Charkhi Dadri,  Havildar Chandrapal Saini of Julana district Jind, Havildar Mahabir Singh of village Sagwan district Bhiwani,  Rifleman Sachin Kumar of village Kosli district Rewari, Naik Rajnish of village Sehlang district Mahendergarh, Lance Naik Vikramjeet Singh of village Tepla district Ambala, Lance Naik Sunil Kumar of village Gahlab district Palwal,  Lance Naik Baljeet of village Ribar district Palwal, Sepoy Kuldeep of village Birdhana district Jhajjar, Sepoy Kamal Deshwal of village Jasaurkheri district Jhajjar, Sepoy Rohtash Singh of village Chhithroli district Mahendergarh, Sepoy Vikas Yadav of village Koreawas district Mahendegarh, Sepoy Bijender Singh of village Kanwari district Hisar, Sepoy Sachin of village Silana district Jhajjar, Sepoy Dharambir Singh of village Mehrada district Jind, Sepoy Deepak Saurot  of village Andhua Patti district Palwal, Sepoy Rajesh Kumar of village Bhagal district Kaithal, Sepoy Nitesh Kumar of village Pathera district Mahendergarh, Sepoy Lokesh Yadav of village Nangal Harnath district Mahendergarh and Sepoy Devender Singh of village Khor district Mahendergarh.
          The House also placed on record its deep sense of sorrow on the sad and untimely demise of those persons who died in the massive floods in Kerala in August 2018.
          Apart from this, the House placed on record  its deep sense of sorrow on the sad demise of Mrs Mahadevi, aunt of Deputy Speaker Mrs Santosh Yadav, Mr Dushyant Yadav, son of Mr Randhir Singh Kapriwas, MLA, Dr Harpal Kaur, wife of Dr Pawan Saini, MLA, Mr Ram Kumar, father of Mr Anoop Dhanak, MLA, Mrs Shanti Devi, aunt of Mr Om Parkash, MLA, Mrs Kailash Devi, sister and Kumari Shanti Devi, sister-in-law of Mr Ashok Arora, ex-Minister, Mr Jitender Singh Kadiyan, brother of Mrs Krishna Gehlawat, ex-Minister, Mr Mahesh Chander Bhayana, father of Mr Vinod Bhayana, ex-Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr Akshat Kamboj, son of Mr Rakesh Kamboj, ex-MLA, Mr Umrao Singh Rathi, father of Mr Nafe Singh Rathi, ex-MLA, Mrs Kaushalya Devi, mother of Mr Yogesh Sharma, ex-MLA, Mrs Surjeet Kaur, mother of Mr Jasbir Malor, ex-MLA , Mr Sumer Singh, brother of Thakur Bahadur Singh, ex-MLA, Mrs Santosh Narang mother of Mr Ved Narang, MLA and  Sub Inspector of Haryana Police Karnal Mr Narender Kumar.
