Three Haryana schools to get SVP awards

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 4  
The Government of India has selected three government schools of Haryana for National Level Awards for Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVP) 2017-18 and Hisar is among the nine top performing districts in the country with highest number of schools qualified for the SVP 2017-18. The Union Minister of Human Resource Development, Mr. Prakash Javadekar would confer the awards to these schools at New Delhi on September 18, 2018.
While stating this here today, Education Minister, Mr. Ram Bilas Sharma said that the SVP was instituted in 2016-17 to recognize, inspire and celebrate excellence in water, sanitation and hygiene practices in government elementary and secondary schools. The SVP awards are given at the district, state and national levels. He said that the SVP 2017-18 has been extended to government aided schools and private schools. From the State level award winning schools, 727 schools across the country were in the zone of consideration for the National level awards for SVP 2017-18, of which 52 have been selected. The schools of Haryana which have been selected included Aarohi Model Senior Secondary School (AMSSS), Bhiwani Rohilla, Hisar, AMSSS, Ramgarh Pandwa, Kaithal and Government Primary School, Kirmara, Hisar.
Mr. Sharma said that these schools would be given an award of Rs 50,000 per school as additional school grant to be utilised as per the school grant guidelines for improving sanitation and hygiene, alongwith a Certificate of Recognition. He said that the nine top performing districts with highest number of schools qualified for SVP 2017-18, one of which is Hisar district of Hisar would also be awarded with a Certificate of Recognition.
ONE IAS AND 2 HSC OFFICERS TRANSFERRED: The Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of one IAS and two HCS officers, with immediate effect.
Pankaj Agarwal, Secretary, Personnel, Training, Vigilance and Parliamentary Affairs Departments, Director, Training (Ex-officio) and Director General, Supplies and Disposals, has been given additional charge of Transport Commissioner and Secretary, Transport Department, relieving Vikas Gupta of the said charge, proceeded on leave or training.
Narhari Singh Banger, Additional Managing Director, HSIIDC and OSD, Kundli Manesar Palwal Authority, has been given additional charge of Director General, State Transport Haryana and Special Secretary, Transport department, relieving Vikas Gupta of the said charge.
Jaideep Kumar, Secretary, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board, has been given additional charge of Additional Transport Commissioner, Haryana.
