Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught
Sub-Inspector, Surender Singh, Station House Officer, Police Station Adampur,
district Hisar and Jagdish, a resident of Adampur district Hisar red handed
while accepting an illegal gratification of Rs 30,000 from Mr. Lilu Ram, a
resident of Siswal in same district in lieu of registration of false case
against the complainant.
While stating this here today, a spokesman
of the Bureau said that a case has been registered under section 7,8,13, 49 and
88 of Prevention of Corruption Act in the Police Station of the State Vigilance
Bureau, Hisar. Further investigation of the case is in progress, he added.
The
Bureau has also caught Junior Engineer, Ashok Chopra , Sub-Division Office,
UHVPNL, Rajound, district Kaithal red handed while accepting an illegal
gratification of Rs 3,000 from Mr. Kaptan Singh, a resident of village Kithana
, district Kaithal in lieu of delivery of electric transformer. A case has been
registered against the accused under sections 7 and 13 of Prevention of
Corruption Act in the Police Station of the State Vigilance Bureau, Ambala.
