22 candidates file nominations in Haryana

As many as 22 candidates today filed nominations from Haryana on the third day of filing nomination papers for General Elections 2014 scheduled to be held on April 10. So far, a total number of 29 candidates have filed their nomination papers for Parliamentary Constituencies of Haryana.
While giving this information here today, Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Mr. Shrikant Walgad said that the filing of nomination papers started on March 15 which would last upto March 22, 2014 in Haryana. The maximum number of five nomination have been filed each from Hisar and Kurukshetra followed by four each from Sonipat and Karnal, three from Gurgaon and two each from Ambala, Faridabad, Rohtak and Sirsa. No candidate has filed nomination paper from Bhiwani-Mahendegarh Parliamentary Constituency. The Election Department has so far received 42 nominations from total 29 candidates, he added.
He said that among those who have filed nominations today from Ambala Parliamentary Constituency are BJP Candidate Ratan Lal Kataria, and Independent Candidate Bhupinder Singh, from Gurgaon Parliamentary Constituency Independent Candidates from Karan Singh Patrakar, Fouji Jaikanwar Tyagi and Mool Chand. The Sarvjan Samaj Party candidate Chander Prakash and Independent Candidates Ram Phal and Hansj Ram have filed their nomination papers from Hisar Parliamentary Constituency. Similarly, INC candidates Arvind Kumar Sharma and Rita Sharma and Lok Parivatan Party candidate Duli Chand have filed nominations from Karnal Parliamentary Constituency. He said that BSP candidate Chhatar Singh, BSP (covering) Candidate Sanjay Kumar and Independent Candidate Amit Kumar filed their nominations from Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency.
Mr. Walgad said that INLD candidate Shamsher Singh, SUCI (Communist) Candidate Jai Karan have filed nominations from Rohtak Parliamentary Constituency, CPI (M) Candidate Ram Kumar and Independent Candidate Surinder Kumar have filed nominations from Sirsa Parliamentary Constituency and INC candidates namely Jagbir Malik and Santosh Malik and BJP candidates namely Ramesh Chander and Luxmi have filed nominations from Sonepat Parliamentary Constituency.
