5 Haryana officers suspended for lackadaisical attitude

 While taking stern action, the Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal has suspended five officers of different departments and also ordered disciplinary action against two for their lackadaisical attitude in dealing complaints on Chief Minister (CM) Window. Besides, he also ordered to register FIR against two persons on the basis of complaints received on CM window. He has also directed to issue show cause notice to one officer.
This was informed by Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr Rakesh Gupta while presiding over the meeting of Chief Minister (CM) Window, the online grievances redressal system here today. OSD to Chief Minister namely Mr Mukul Kumar and Mr Bhupeshwar Dayal were also present in the meeting.
Dr Gupta said that those who have been suspended include SHO, Charkhi Dadri, Assistant, Higher Education Department, Adhish Kumar, Wasal Baki Nawis posted at Jind namely Bhoop Singh, Assistant Soil Conservator Officer, Rahul Badkodia and Anganwadi Supervisor posted in the office of Chief Development Project Officer (CDPO), Charkhi Dadri-II, Sunita. He said that similarly, those officers and officials against whom orders have been issued to initiate disciplinary action included Manoj Kumar, Superintendent, Higher Education Department and registration of FIR against Lakshmi, and Kuldeep resident of village Barsola, Jind. He said that show cause notice has been issued to Block and Development Officer, Jind.
The Additional Principal Secretary directed all the departments to expedite the process and further directed to dispose of their pending complaints by October 15, 2016. He said that though the Chief Minister has appreciated the overall performance of CM Window, which resulted in increased satisfaction level of people in the functioning of the Government, yet he also expressed his displeasure over the progress made by certain departments including Urban Local Bodies Department and Higher Education Department in disposing of people’s complaints in a time bound manner. He said that overdue of complaints of any department should not exceed 10 per cent at any cost. The concept of CM Window has evoked a massive response from the public as 1.94 lakh complaints have so far been received on it, he added.
While reviewing the complaints, he directed the concerned department to take action in case where a hotel is being run in a residential building at Gurgaon. In his complaint, the complainant has alleged that the construction has been done in contravention of the approved building plans. He also directed that in cases of corruption, efforts should be made to get registered FIR beside the recovery of amount.
It was informed in the meeting that a mechanism has been evolved to block those complainants who unnecessarily post complaints on the CM Window. As per this, anyone who registers more than 35 complaints on this online grievances redressal portal is being blocked so that the efficiency of the system might not suffer. It was also informed that however, the issues related to the government employees are not being entertained on the CM Window, the complaints of retired employees pertaining to their post retirement benefits are being promptly redressed.
Those other present in the meeting included Nodal Officers of various departments for CM Window and other senior officers of the State Government.
