Applications invited from Principals and PGTs

Chandigarh, Sept 22
 Haryana Government Education Department has invited applications from Principals and Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) to work as officers on one post of Assistant Director, Academic and seven posts of Programme Officer in the Directorate of School Education.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Department said that Principals and PGTs working on regular basis in government schools, who are willing to be posted in Academic Cell of the Directorate may apply on the prescribed proforma.
          He said that Principals could apply for the post of Assistant Director, Academic and PGTs could apply for the post of Programme Officer. The applicant should be fluent in English and should have knowledge of computers, and applications such as MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel and internet browsing.
        The spokesman said that the candidates would have to e-mail their applications to academiccellhry@gmail.com latest by September 26, 2016. They should also mention their e-mail IDs along with contact numbers so that information regarding the interview or test may be sent to them.
PANCHAYAT ELECTIONS: Haryana State Election Commissioner, Dr. Dalip Singh, said that the State Election Commission has completed all arrangements for ensuring peaceful, free and fair poll for by-elections and general elections (two Gram Panchayats namely Tosham of district Bhiwani and Chhachhrauli of district Yamunanagar).
        He said that after withdrawal, 1,480 Panches, four Sarpanches and four Members of Panchayat Samitis have been elected unanimously, whereas no nomination has been received for 370 seats of Panches and two seats of Sarpanches, and these seats will remain vacant.
Therefore, elections would take place only in remaining 268 seats of Panches, eight Sarpanches and one Member of Panchayat Samiti. The poll would be held on September 25, 2016 from 8a.m. to 4p.m. and the counting of votes would be held immediately after the close of poll.
        Dr. Singh said that polling on 127 booths for all 31 wards of Municipal Council, Sirsa would also take place on the same day, for which 159 candidates are in the fray. National party BJP is contesting on its reserve symbol in 30 wards.
        He said that there would be heavy deployment of police force to maintain law and order at the polling stations and sensitive areas, besides adequate police force at all sensitive and hyper-sensitive polling stations.
        Appealing to the voters to cast their ballot in order to elect the Members of Panchayat and Municipal Institutions for strengthening the democracy at grassroots level, he said the election to all the seats would be conducting using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
