Haryana Govt may run monano-rail between Faridabad and Gurgaonond

The Haryana Government is considering to introduce Mono-rail between Faridabad and Gurgaon, which would further accelerate the pace of development in  the area.
          While stating this at a massive rally in Faridabad today, Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda also announced a   bonanza of incentives for the people of Faridabad, which included construction of a road from Bata  chowk to B.K. Civil Hospital costing Rs. 12 crore, another periphery road from National Highway No.3 to National Highway No.2 upto Bata chowk costing Rs. 18 crore, construction of Faridabad-Tigaon road costing Rs five  crore, widening and strengthening of Ankhir-Surajkund road and from Kheri bridge to Bhupani via Bahadurgarh road at a cost of Rs. six crore, construction of a  bus stand in sector-12  of Faridabad, beautification of NIT bus stand, setting up of a park for residents of Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Nagar and those living near National Highways No.3 and No.5, rehabilitation of people living in slum areas after carrying out survey in February 2013 and construction of boundary wall of Dushera Ground. He said that a written request would be sent to the Central Government regarding setting up of Trauma Centre in B.K. Civil Hospital and would be would be included in the next plan.
          Mr. Hooda said that the State Government is also resolving the problem of shortage of power supply in the state and very soon 20 to 22 hours uninterrupted power supply would be given in all cities and villages of Haryana. As per the invitation of Bhutan’s  Prime Minister, he would visit Bhutan regarding setting up of a new hydel power project there. He  said that from the year 1966 to 2005 only one power plant was set up in Haryana whereas since 2005, four new power plants have been set up in the state and 5050 MW of power was being generated.
          While describing Faridabad as a place of pride for Haryana, Mr. Hooda said that it was ignored by the previous INLD- BJP Government. Giving evidence from the statistics, Mr. Hooda said that the previous Government had spent only Rs. 389.23 crore on its development whereas the present Government, since 2005 has already spent Rs. 3980.88 crore which is more than ten times spent by the previous Government. Similarly, the IND-BJP Government had spent only Rs 70.82 crore in Badkhal constituency, whereas the present Government has spent Rs. 254.66 crore on its development. Mr. Hooda said that under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewable Mission, developmental works costing Rs. 849 crore were being implemented in Faridabad. He said that efforts were being made to extend the Metro Rail Line upto  Ballabhgarh.
          Extending this best wishes to UPA Chairperson, Mrs. Sonia Gandhi on her birthday, Mr. Hooda said that the massive audience at the rally wished her a long life so that she might guide us for years to come.
          Referring to the issue of unauthorized colonies which is lying pending in the court, he said that he was well aware of the problem being faced by the people of Haryana and if necessary, a new law would be enacted on the pattern of Delhi.
          Speaking on the occasion Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee, President, Mr. Phool Chand Mullana said that under the able leadership of Mr. Hooda, there had been tremendous development  all over the State.
Giving warm welcome to the Chief Minister, Revenue Minister Mr. Mahendar Pratap Singh, who had organized the rally, said that this massive gathering bears the testimony of developmental policies of State Government. He said that Haryana has made development in the field of technical education in leaps and bounds and at present, there are 641 engineering and poly-technical colleges in the State.He also presented demands of the people of the area and Mr Hooda sanctioned  most of them on the spot.
