Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar will organize a
seminar on the topic of employment opportunities in the field of Home
Science at the Home Science College of the University on December 6,
2012. The girl students studying in class 10th and 12th, their guardians and the teachers of 15 schools of the district would participate in the seminar.
While
stating this here today, a spokesman of University said that many
employment opportunities in government, non-government and multinational
companies were available to home science students. However, most of the
students were unaware about such opportunities. A number of
universities and degree colleges were offering three years graduate
programme in home science whereas CCSHAU offers four years honors degree
course in home science which was different from normal degree course as
vocational education in various subjects were being given during course
duration. Girl students could start their own business after completion
of the course. They could also get employment opportunities in various
government and non government organizations.
He
said that University Home Science College had been organizing such
seminars every year so that girl students and their guardians could be
informed about this field and also its employment opportunities.
