Government to promote Haryanvi Film Industry

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 3
The Haryana Government has decided to promote Haryanvi Film Industry in the State and for this purpose, subsidy would also be provided on Haryanvi films.
          A decision to this effect has been taken in the Governing Body Meeting of Haryana Kala Parishad held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.
          In the meeting, the budget of Rs. 1.50 crore of Haryana Kala Parishad for the financial year 2014-15 was also approved. With a view to promote the folk culture of State, the Haryana Kala Parishad has started the documentation of different forms of folk dances, folk music, ragini and saang.
           Mr. Hooda was  informed that minimum two cultural events were organized by the Parishad every month to make the people aware about the different forms of folk culture of State. He was also informed that the activities of Haryana Kala Parishad are not only confined to Haryana but it also organizes cultural events in Bhopal, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Delhi and Rishikesh etc every year for the promotion of rich Haryanvi Culture.
          While appreciating the activities of Kala Parishad in promoting the folk culture of the State, Mr. Hooda announced to increase the monthly salary of Director of Haryana Kala Parishad from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 50,000. 
          Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. S.S Dhillon, Principal OSD Mr. M.S Chopra, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance Mr. Rajan Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Culture Mr. Vijay Vardhan, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department and Secretary, Haryana Kala Parishad Mr. Sudhir Rajpal, Vice-Chairman of Haryana Kala Parishad Mr. K.C Sharma, Director Mrs. Usha Sharma, Director Sahitya Akademi Dr. Shyam Sakha Shyam and other senior officers were also present in the meeting.
