More to strengthening teachers education system

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 10
The Haryana Government has constituted a committee headed by Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra for strengthening the teachers education system in the state.
            This was decided in a meeting chaired by Education Minister Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal here today. Vice Chancellors of  Guru Jhambeshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Choudhry Devi Lal University, Sirsa and Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak and officers of Higher Education Department would be other members of the committee.
Mrs. Bhukkal asked them that stress should be given on quality education so as to make the students employable and they could ensure their placement in their respective fields. She said that National Vocational Education Qualification Framework has also been implemented in the state for skill development. Haryana is the first state in the country which introduced vocational courses for students at school level, she added.
The Minister would take review meeting of Vice-Chancellor to this effect after a week.

Ranga, Vice Chancellor, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak Mr. H.S. Chahal, Vice Chancellor Ch. Devi Lal University, Dr. R.S. Sharma, Chairman, School Education Board Bhiwani Dr. K.C. Bhardwaj, Additional Chief Secretary Higher Education Mr. S.S. Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary School Education Mrs. Surina Rajan, Director School Education Mr. Vivek Attray and other officers also participated in the meeting.
