CHANDIGARH, SEPT 11
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has announced to send five trucks of sugar, five trucks of other food items (Chivre) and medicines worth Rs. 50 lakh as relief material for the flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr. Hooda has earlier announced to send 50,000 blankets as a relief material to the affected people. He also assured help of any kind required for the relief operation and said that the Government and the people of Haryana are with the affected people of the Jammu and Kashmir in this hour of crisis.
The State Government has also appointed Principal Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department Mr. P.K Das as the Nodal Officer of State for efficient handling of relief assistance.
NO WORK NO PAY: Registrar of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, K.C Ralhan stated here that University no work no pay for non teaching staff of Kurukshetra University on Thursday. He said that the strike of these employees of university is unethical, and he told employee’s to be on work as soon as possible for sake of the students.
UNICEF AND TN TEAM VISITS HARYANA: A team of UNICEF and Tamil Nadu School Education Department today made a visit at Haryana Education Department to learn from the Haryana’s experience for implementing National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) in Tamil Nadu.
The team met Additional Chief Secretary School Education Mrs.Surina Rajan and State level team to know how successfully Haryana has implemented skilling the school students in integration with academic stream under NSQF. Tamil Nadu Government now intends to implement the National Programme from next academic session. UNICEF representative and the team was highly impressed the way Haryana has been able to implement it successfully starting with four trades in 40 schools two years back and further expanding it to cover 240 schools with seven skills reaching 25,000 students.
In view of impressive performance of School Education Department and keeping with National priority to Skill the Nation, UNICEF representative suggested to take it to newer heights by Skilling up the program with World Bank assistance.
KUL HIND MUSHAIRA: The Cultural Affairs Department, Haryana will organize Kul Hind Mushaira ‘Jashn- e-Haryana’ at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18 here on September 20, 2014.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesman said that Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. S.S Dhillon would be guest of honour. Additional Chief Secretary, Cultural Affairs Department Mr. Vijay Vardhan and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Cultural Affairs Department Mr. Sudhir Rajpal would also be present on this occasion.
The spokesman said that renowned poet of Urdu from throughout the country including Needa Fazli, Dr. Kalim Kaiser, Dr. Farooq Bakshi, Dr. Naseem Nikhat, Naim Rashid, Dr. Jaya Tonki and Shams Tabreji would participate in the Mushaira.
PROPERTY TAX: Haryana Government has made an amendment in para 4 for sub-para (iii) of Haryana Government, Urban Local Bodies Department (Committee) notification regarding property tax dated October 11, 2013.
As per the amendment made, those who have already deposited the tax, the excess amount, if any, would be adjusted against property tax for the year 2014-15. If the excess amount is still in balance the same be refunded to the tax payer, without interest, by the Municipal Council or Committee concerned.
