Celebrating 350th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh

CHANDIGARH, NOV 17
The Haryana Government has decided to organise a state-level function to celebrate the 350th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in a befitting manner.
        This was disclosed in a meeting of the state level executive committee constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, Mr. D.S. Dhesi, held here today. The meeting was presided over by Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Development and Panchayats, Mr Bakhshish Singh Virk.
        The State Government would constitute a committee for this purpose, comprising members of political parties and personalities from the fields of art, media and some organisations.
        It was informed in the meeting that a yatra was being organised from Anandpur Sahib in Punjab to Patna Sahib in Bihar, which would also pass through Haryana. Various programmes would be organised at the places in the State through which the yatra would pass. These places would be decorated on a grand scale.
        Apart from this, various programmes would be organised throughout the State, including seminars, painting and photography competitions and traditional martial arts. Besides, some roads in the State would be named after Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
          Those present in the meeting included Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Dr. Rajesh Khullar, Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Information, Public Relations and Languages, Mrs. Dheera Khandelwal, ACS, Public Works (Building and Roads), Mr. Hardeep Kumar, Principal Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination, Mr. T.C. Gupta, Principal Secretary, Cultural Affairs, Dr. Sumita Misra, Director, Urban Local Bodies, Mr. Shekkhar Vidyarthi and other senior officers.
CLARIFICATION ON FIXATION OF REVISED PAYSCALES:  Haryana Finance Department has clarified regarding fixation of pay in the revised pay structure stating that the pay of all the existing employees would be fixed with a uniform multiplying factor of 2.57 as per Rule 7 of Haryana Civil Service (Revised Pay) Rules, 2016 and Rule 18 of Haryana Civil Service (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2016.
SUPPLY OF SUGARCANE:  Haryana Government has decided that a cane grower cooperative society, which will supply sugarcane up to five lakh quintals to a sugar mill, falling in the respective area, would be paid commission at the rate of one per cent of the State Advised Price fixed   for general varieties.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of Cooperation Department said that on supply of additional quantity of sugarcane that is beyond five lakh quintals, the commission at the rate of rupee one per quintal would be paid to the cane growers cooperative societies by the sugar mills.
