Haryana observing Cooperative Week from Nov 14-20

CHANDIGARH, NOV 14
The Cooperative Week is being observed in Haryana from November 14 to 20 and Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal would be the chief guest at the State Level Cooperative Day celebrations to be held at Old ITI Ground, Rohtak on November 16, 2016. Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr Manish Kumar Grover will preside over the function.
        While stating this here today, Managing Director, Haryana State Cooperative Development Federation Ltd, Ms Poonam Nara said that   this year the theme of the week is “Role of Cooperatives in Sustainable Development and Growth”. She said that people associated with cooperatives would participate in the State level Cooperative Day celebration. Different departments and cooperative societies would also organise an exhibition to display their products at the venue of the State level function. The Chief Minister would also hoist cooperative flag and inaugurate exhibition at 10 a.m., she added.
          She said that during the week, deliberations on various topics related to cooperation would be held at different places. The Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Mr Alok Nigam and Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Mr Vikas Yadav would also grace the occasion. As a part of the celebrations, seminars would also be organized at Kurukshetra on November 17, at Faridabad on November 18, at Hisar on November 19 and at Yamunanagar on November 20.
        She said that the main aim of organising this function was to attract the general public towards the cooperative movement and provide them information about the facilities being provided through cooperative societies.
MEETING ON  NOV 15: A meeting of the Haryana Council of Ministers will be held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal at Committee room, fourth floor, Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh on November 15 at 4 p.m.
