Haryana Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma inaugurated the Haryana Tourism Stall at World Travel Mart-2016 at London in United Kingdom today. He also released a book on this occasion.
While speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that International Crafts Fair was organised at Surajkund in district Faridabad from February 1 to 15 every year. Visitors and artisans from all over the country and world participate in this event.
He said that on the occasion of 5153rd Jayanti of Shreemad Bhagavad Gita, international-level ‘Gita Jayanti Samaroh’ would be organised on a grand scale at Kurukshetra from December 6 to 10, 2016. A 574-member delegation representing different districts in the country would be formed and the number of these delegates would signify an equal number of Shalokas delivered by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. As many as 18,000 students will recite verses from the Gita at the inaugural function.
Mr. Sharma said that the State Government was promoting various kinds of tourism like the highway, farm, adventure, heritage, eco, pilgrim and golf tourism in Haryana, and invited the people of London and the tourists to visit Haryana.
Those present on the occasion included Secretary, Union Tourism Ministry, Mr. Vinod Zutshi and Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Develoment Corporation, Mr. Sameer Pal Srow.
