International Symposium on Fusion of Science and Technology in Faridabad

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 22 
J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in association with Society for Fusion of Science and Technology (SFST) and partnership with University of South Florida, University of North Texas, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and other premier institutions, would organize the 8th International Symposium on Fusion of Science and Technology (ISFT-2020), in Faridabad from January 6 to 10, 2020.
          The University today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Society for Fusion of Science and Technology for the organisation of ISFT-2020. The MoU was signed by Registrar of the University, Dr. Raj Kumar on behalf of J.C. Bose University, in the presence of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar, and Secretary General of Society for Fusion of Science and Technology, Delhi, Dr. Ashok Sharma, signed the MoU on behalf of SFST. The Conference Brochure and poster were also released on this occasion.
          This will be the first time when the University would organize an International Conference at big level. The Conference is sponsored under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme-III. Dean (Academics) and TEQIP-III Director Dr. Vikram Singh and other senior officials of the University were also present on this occasion.
          Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that ‘It is a privilege to the University to be the host of the ISFT-2020. The International Symposium on Fusion of Science and Technology (ISFT) would provide a forum to the best talents in the academia and research institutions, industry experts, management professionals, engineers and executives to collaborate and address the current challenges to promote the new horizon of science, engineering and technology for a sustainable future. The conference would also promote synergetic partnership between academia and industry, and would showcase the growth of cutting-edge technology developed in recent past.’ he added. 
          The Vice Chancellor said that as many as 400 participants from India and abroad are expected to participate in this International Conference.
          Speaking on this occasion, the Chairman of ISFT-2019, Prof. Naveen Kumar said that ISFT was started in 2011 with an aim to provide a platform for the researchers working in the multi-disciplinary field of Engineering, Science and Management to exchange new ideas and establish a relationship for the scientific growth and development. He said that apart from India, ISFT has its root in 12 other countries and seven such conferences have so far been organised. Every year, ISFT receives more than 500 research articles from the world over.
          He said that Society for Fusion of Science and Technology is the Collegium of people, from academia and research, entrepreneurs, industry experts, engineers and other professionals who have come together to promote inter-disciplinary science and technology. The Society enhances synergetic partnership between academia and industry and undertakes systematic studies and research in scientific endeavours of national and international importance. He said that there has been phenomenal growth of engineering, science and technology in the recent past. To keep pace with the recent development, 8th International Symposium on Fusion of Science and Technologies will work as a catalyst to amalgamate the challenges and the opportunities for a better world, he added.
