Power Tariff Subsidy scheme modified

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 27
The Haryana Government has modified the Power Tariff Subsidy scheme to provide affordable power supply to the enterprises located in the state.
          Giving this information here today, a spokesperson of the Industries and Commerce Department said that a notification has been issued in this regard.
          He said that an enterprise located in 'C' and 'D' category blocks having industrial connection of connected load of 20 KW or less would be provided Power Tariff Subsidy of Rs 2 per unit. He said that this scheme will be applicable from November 1, 2018 and will remain in operation till it is superseded by the government.
          The spokesman said that the enterprise will be eligible for this benefit till it remains in production. The enterprise will not be required to apply for availing the benefit. The power companies or utilities such as UHBVN/DHBVN would provide this benefit by deducting the subsidy amount in the electricity bills. The amount of Power Tariff Subsidy granted by the UHBVN/DHBVN would be reimbursed by the Industries and Commerce Department from its budget, he added.
MRS ANJU TO SERVE REMAINING TERM:  Haryana State Election Commission has notified the name of Mrs. Anju as Chairman, Panchayat Samiti Julana, who has been elected in the election held on June 10, 2019, to serve the remaining term.
THREE IAS OFFICERS TRANSFERRED:  The Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of three IAS officers and one HCS officer, with immediate effect.

          Ritu, Controller and Additional Secretary, Printing and Stationery Department has been posted as Director and Additional Secretary, Social Justice and Empowerment Department.

 FIRE SAFETY APP TO BE DEVELOPED: a fire safety app will soon be developed, under which the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and CMO will be connected with fire stations of all 22 districts. If there will be a fire incident anywhere in the state, it will alert all at once and assistance will be provided immediately.
          Mrs. Jain was presiding over a state level meeting regarding fire safety measures held at Panchkula near here today.
          Detailed discussions were held in the meeting to reduce fire accidents, to provide immediate help during fire accidents and to further strengthen the functioning of the Department in future.
          Mrs Jain said that the fire brigade's work is not less than the work of police and medical services in any way. She said that the firefighters also work to save lives and their role is not less than a soldier.
          She said that 102 fire brigade motorcycles have been purchased and made available in all the districts of the state to control fire incidents in crowded areas and tight streets of the cities. She said that in order to fulfill the shortage of staff in the Department, about 1,000 employees have been arranged from outsourcing and requisition has been sent to Haryana Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to 1,046 regular posts. Apart from this, requisition has been sent to the Haryana Public Service Commission for the recruitment of fire brigade and assistant fire brigade officers.
          The Minister said that GPS systems will be installed in fire brigades so that the location of the accident can be reached at the earliest. She said that the system should be online at the fire stations at the district and block level, so that the alert of fire incidents could be flashed immediately. A Nodal Officer will be appointed at the headquarters level who will coordinate with the fire stations across the state in order to alert everyone during emergency situations.
          Mrs. Jain said that special attention will be given to fire safety measures while issuing NOC to multi-storeyed buildings like cinema halls, hospitals and coaching centres. She cautioned the officers not to issue NOC or renewal letter by violating the rules.
          She directed the Fire Officers to celebrate Fire-Security fortnight in their districts and mock drills should be organised during this period. An annual calendar will be prepared for this. During this period, Fire Safety Fortnight and Mock Drills activites will be conducted in all 22 districts of the state for a year so that the people would get information about the security measures and Department will also remain attentive.
          Mrs. Kavita Jain has constituted a six-member committee to further strengthen the functioning and technically empowering the Department. The committee included four Fire Station Officers and two officers of headquarters level. This committee will submit its suggestions on various aspects in the coming weeks.
          Principal Secretary, Urban Local Bodies Department, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan said that in order to provide level based training facilities to officers and staff of Fire Department, land has been made available for the training institution at Sector 3 in Panchkula and after completing the remaining procedures, the foundation stone of the building will soon be laid. He said that there will be no shortage of budget in the Fire Department. The Department has a separate budget of Rs 60-65 crore. He said that officers and employees of the department, who work bravely during big accidents, will be encouraged.
          Director General of Urban Local Bodies Department Mr. Sameer Pal Srow said that the facilities are being expanded to make the Fire Department competent as per the present challenges. For this, the process of buying new vehicles has been started to meet the shortage of fire bridges in the fire stations at the district and sub divisional levels, and 64 light and heavy vehicles have so far been purchased. He said that the process has been started to purchase two hydraulic fire brigades of capacities 32 and 70 meters to control the incidents of fire in multi-storey buildings in big cities.
CM EXPRESSES DEEP SORROW: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Mrs. Janak Rani, the mother of well-known industrialist and Karnal District BJP President, Mr Jagmohan Anand, and expressed deep condolences to the family members for their loss.
          The Chief Minister today visited the residence of Mr Jagmohan Anand at Karnal to express condolences to the bereaved family members.
          The Chief Minister said that human life is  the best creation of God but it is short lived and all of us have to depart this world one day or the other.  He said that Mrs Janak Rani was a   woman of high moral values and he prayed to God to give her eternal rest and the family members the strength to bear the great pain.
          Mrs Janak Rani expired on June 24, 2019 and the “Rasam Kriya” to pay tributes to the departed soul will be held on July 6 from 2 pm to 3.30 pm in Anmol Gardens at Karnal.
          The Chief Minister was accompanied by Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister, Mr Karan Dev Kamboj besides Harvinder Kalyan, Bhagwan Dass Kabir Panthi and Bakhshish Singh Virk, all MLAs and OSD to Chief Minister, Mr. Amarendra Singh.
KRISHINA LAL NOMINATED: Haryana Government has nominated Krishan Lal, a resident of Village and Post Office Baniyani, Tehsil Kalanaur, district Rohtak as non-official member of the District Grievances Redressal Committee, Rohtak, with immediate effect.
          While stating this here today, an official spokesperson said that a notification to this effect has been issued by the Grievances Department.
