Filling up vacant posts of safai karamcharis:

CHANDIGARH, AUG 21
The Haryana Government has decided to fill up the direct vacant posts of safai karamcharis, sewermen and helper tubewell operator in Municipalities of the State.
While giving this information here today, a spokesman of Urban Local Bodies Department said that there would be no criteria of educational qualification for filling up these posts of safai karamcharis. Those who have work experience of minimum 10 years in the Municipalities, their maximum age limit would be considered as 55 years.
He said it has been decided to constitute a selection committee under the Chairmanship of concerned Deputy Commissioner to fill up these posts in Municipal Council and Municipal Committees in the State. Sub Divisional Officer (Civil), Executive Officer or Secretary Municipal Council or Municipal Committee and other local officers appointed by the Chairman would be the other members of the Committee. The provision of selection committee is already in place for filling up posts of the level of Municipal Corporation under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Service Rules, 1998, he added.
He said that to fill up these posts, the Commissioners of concerned Municipal Corporations and the concerned Deputy Commissioners for Municipal Councils and Municipal Committees would give advertisement in the newspapers. Apart from this, the demand for these posts would be sent to the Employment Department and the candidates would be called for the interviews.
He said that while advertising these posts, it would be ensured that the posts of those safai karamcharis who have already been appointed in Municipalities on contract basis on wages of Rs 8100 per month, their sanctioned posts are not included in this recruitment. He said that it has been directed that the demand letters which have earlier been sent to the State Government may either be withdrawn or advertisement be given for filling up of the remaining posts.
He said that the relaxation has been given by the State Government as one time measure as per sub section 17 of Municipal Corporation Employee Service Rules, 1988 and sub section 17 of Haryana Municipal Committee Service Rules , 2010 and thus it should not be considered as a example in future. Apart from this, concerned appointment authority would ensure that in future, no illegal or irregular recruitment is made on ad hoc or contractual basis against the sanctioned posts, he further added.
REGULARISING SERVICES: The Government has decided to regularize the services of Group ‘B’, ‘C’ and ‘D’ employees and workers of all the Boards and Corporations in the state as per its Regularization Policy.
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that a notification to this effect has been issued by the office of Chief Secretary.RESIGNATION ACCEPTED: The Government has accepted the resignation of Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Sultan Singh, attached with Minister of Irrigation and Transport with immediate effect.
TWO HCS OFFICERS TRANSFERRED: The Haryana Government today issued transfers and posting orders of two HCS officers with immediate effect.
Mukesh Kumar, Sub Divisional Officer (C)- cum-Additional Collector, Bawal and Jitender Kumar –II, Sub Divisional Officer (C)- cum-Additional Collector, Kosli will swap their places of posting.
