Ex gratia to members of RGTPP tragedy victims

CHANDIGARH, MAY 10 
 Haryana Transport Minister Krishan Lal Panwar announced an  ex gratia amount of Rs 20 lakh to the family members of each deceased and Rs 10 lakh to the injured in the the Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Plant tragedy of May  8.  In addition job in HPGCL would be given to one member from the family of those deceases or injured in the accident.  
            He stated that a Special Investigation Team  has been formed comprising the DSP Headquarters, one Inspector and one Sub Inspector to thoroughly investigate the cause and the officers responsible for this tragedy.  He further assured to chargesheet and  transfer the SE, X-En and the SDO of the Plant.  He also assured that the expense on the  treatment of those injured would be borne  by the Government.
 He stated the accident as very unfortunate and expressed his sympathy towards the victims’ families.
Meanwhile  after the assurance from the Transport Minister the families performed the last rites of those deceased in the accident.
GIS MAPPING: GIS: Mapping would be carried out of pipeline network of water supply in rural areas of Haryana and after GIS Mapping, the Public Health Engineering Department would carry out geo-tagging of all assets in villages and towns.
        While stating this here today, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering, Dr. Banwari Lal said that in this regard the Department has sent a written communication to all Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers in the state.
          He said that they have been directed to complete this work in the prescribed time period. He said that the marking of installations of tube-wells, canal based water works, boosters and OHSRs would be got completed by May 21, 2018.
