Anil Vij visits Panipat Police station, suspends absentee woman officer

CHANDIGARH, NOV 16
Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij today conducted a surprise inspection at the Panipat city police station. During his visit he checked the presence of the police personnel.
          However, taking a stern action against the absenteeism, Mr Vij issued immediate suspension order of a female sub-inspector Nirmala as she was not present during her duty hours.  Giving strict directions to the police officials, Mr Vij said that any kind of negligence in the duty won't be tolerated. 
          The Home Minister was on his way to Delhi from Chandigarh today. He did the surprise inspection of the city police station while leaving to Delhi.
          He further inspected all the barracks, rooms, all necessary registers and cleanliness of the police station. He also checked the number of FIRs which registered in the police station records.
          He himself spoke to the complainants whose complaints were lodged at the police station and investigated the proceedings of the police.
          Mr. Anil Vij sought an answer from the SHO on the old complaints received at the police station and the SHO said that the investigation is underway. Further on the directions of Mr Anil Vij, the SHO also got a phone call from the complainants. Similarly, he also spoke to other people present in the police station.
          The Home Minister also asked for the cleaning of the police stations. Superintendent of Police Mr. Sumit Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) Mr Dharamveer, Panipat MLA, Mr Mahipal Dhanda were also present on the occasion.
ZERO TOLERANCE: Mr Anil Vij said that just like the previous tenure, this time too the State Government is dedicated to adopt a zero-tolerance policy against corruption. He said that strict action will be taken against the employees and officials against who do not work sincerely and honestly.
          Mr Vij said this while hearing the grievances of the people in Ambala today. He said that it's because of the blessings of the people only that he had got an opportunity to serve them. He said that the work for public welfare will be continued.
          The Home Minister said that there are some departments which still needs improvements, a strategy for improving the functioning is being made in collaboration with the department officials. He further directed the officials to speed up the completion of the ongoing development works.
