Sirsi village in Karnal to become first village free from Lal Dora

CHANDIGARH, NOV 20  
On the occasion of Good Governance Day, the Sirsi village in Karnal district will become the first village in Haryana which will be made to be free from Lal Dora.  Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal took this decision in a review meeting held here today.
          At the meeting, the Chief Minister said that the tagging of all types of properties including agricultural land, private land, land under government departments, Shamalat, Panchayati, should be done separately and with this, the land categories should also be identified separately.
          The Chief Minister said that the Principal Secretary, Development and Panchayats, Mr Sudhir Rajpal has been directed to compile the details of the Gram Panchayat properties under Lal Dora and make it available to the Survey of India.  He said that later the details should be matched with the map prepared through drone and further it should also be verified by the Gram Sabha so that it could be verified that who owns the said property. 
          The Chief Minister further directed the officials that the traces of the boundaries of other states adjoining Haryana should also be resolved according to the maps prepared by the Survey of India.
          Meanwhile, on November 1, 2018, Chief Minister Manohar Lal had announced that the villages in Haryana will be made free from Lal Dora so that the plots and houses inside Lal Dora could be registered and people could buy and sell their properties and this step will certainly, reduce fights and disputes in the village.
          At the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Dushyant Chautala, Director General of Survey of India, Lieutenant General Girish Kumar, VSM Distinguished Service Medal, Chief Secretary Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Khullar, Additional Principal Secretary Mr. V. Umashankar, Deputy Principal Secretary Mrs. Ashima Brar, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Disaster Management Department Mrs. Navraj Sindhu, Deputy Commissioner Karnal Mr Vinay Pratap Singh and officials of Survey of India, Development and Panchayat and revenue department were present.
VIDHAN SABHA SUMMONED: The Haryana Vidhan Sabha has been summoned to meet in the Hall of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Chandigarh at 11 am on Tuesday, November 26, 2019.
