Mrs. Rachna Srivastva appreciates the ICT progress made in Haryana

CHANDIGARH, NOV 22
 Deputy Director General, National Informatics Center (NIC) Mrs. Rachna Srivastva reviewed the IT Initiatives taken up by NIC Haryana State Center and appreciated the ICT progress made in the State. Mrs. Rachna who is also the coordinator for NIC Haryana State was on an official visit to Haryana.
          During her visit, Mrs. Rachna Srivastva also shared her vision and experiences with all the officers of NIC Haryana State Unit at Knowledge Center AT Haryana Civil Secretariat Chandigarh along with the DIOs and ADIOs of NIC Haryana through video Conference.
          She also met Chief Secretary Haryana, Mrs. Keshni Anand Arora, who lauded the role played by NIC in making Haryana State as one of the leading e-governance states in India. Mr. Ankur Gupta, Principal Secretary (IT), Haryana also acknowledged the untiring efforts of Officers of NIC Haryana State for making the state as per the vision of the Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal i.e. Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.
          Mrs. Rachna Srivastva was accompanied by Mr. Kapil Sharma, Technical Director and Head of e-Office Division for implementation in the country. The Deputy Director General also visited the State Software Development Center, where the Antodya Saral portal is being developed maintained and kept. She took keen interest in the e-governance services development methodologies being adopted for helping the general public. 
These services are scientifically and technically provided by the http://saralharyana.gov.in portal. Mr. Deepak Bansal, State Informatics Officer Haryana presented the activities and efforts of all officers.
          She also visited Saral Kendra located at Mini Secretariat, Panchkula and inspected complete process of service delivery from issuance of token to form submission – making cashless payment for service – capturing biometric information and issuance of fee and application receipt.
 She appreciated the installation of dual screen at the counters so that the citizen can see the entire information being fed in the servers, arrangements for citizens like seating plan, token display and helpdesk etc.
JUSTICE PURI ADMINISTERED OATH: The Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mr. Justice Ravi Shanker Jha  today administering the oath of the office and secrecy  to Mr. Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri as Additional Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court in Chandigarh. Justice Jasgurpreet Singh Puri has been appointed for a term of two years from the date of his assuming office.
