New Khel nurseries to be opened in Haryana: Governor

CHANDIGARH, NOV 5
Haryana Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya said that to ensure proper facilities to nurture the budding sportspersons, adequate number of new Khel Nurseries would be opened in the State.
            Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya was delivering his address on the second day of the 14th Haryana Vidhan Sabha session here today.
            He said that the State Government is providing jobs and cash awards to the outstanding sports persons of the State in a transparent manner. He said that it is the matter of proud that Haryana’s Sports persons bring so many laurels to the nation in various international sports competitions. Out of a total of 66 medals won by India in Commonwealth Games-2018, 22 medals were won by sportspersons of Haryana. Similarly, in the Asian Games 2018, the sportspersons of the State won 17 medals out of a total of 69. 
          The Governor said that the development of the unique Sports University being established in Rai would also be accelerated.
 FREE EDUCATION TO UP TO 12TH CLASS: Keeping in view the recommendations of Draft National Education Policy 2019, the Haryana Government will impart free education to the students of classes from 1st to 12th on the lines of the Right to Education Act 2009. Apart from this, modern infrastructure will be provided in every government school including solar panels, smart class rooms, modern dual desks and   English, Science, Mathematics and computer labs will be established in Government High and Senior Secondary Schools.
            The Governor said that the State Government is committed to introduce basic reforms in education system in order to improve quality of education, learning level of the school students and their exposure to vocational courses. Besides, the Government would continue its efforts in providing basic infrastructure for e-learning and academic monitoring.   The career counselling for students from 8th class onwards would also be provided, he added.
            He said that the promotion of menstrual hygiene among the girl students of classes from 6th to 12th would be ensured by providing a packet of 6 sanitary pads every month.  Also, the girl students residing more than 2 Kilometers away from their schools will continue to be provided free transportation.

HEALTH FOR ALL: Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that for achieving the vision of Health for All, high standard medical facilities would be provided to all families whose annual income is less than Rs. 1.8 lakh and whose agricultural land is less than 5 acres. 
          He said that however, similar facilities would be offered to the families with higher income on payment basis. 
          The Governor said that the present State Government is committed to increase the health expenditure as per National Health Policy, 2017 and also to operationalize another 2,000 Health and Wellness Centres in the coming years.  The number of Jan Aushadhi Kendra and diagnostic laboratories would also be increased, he added.
            Mr Arya said that to address the issues of malnutrition including Vitamin B12 and folate deficiency, fortified atta would be widely distributed. He said that the State Government would endeavour to expedite the establishment of National Institute of Ayurveda being established at Panchkula with a 250 bedded hospital at an estimated amount of Rs. 270 crore.  Apart from this, the State Government would strengthen the newly set up Yog Council and ensure enhanced awareness, practice and adoption of yoga among the people of Haryana through its efforts.  
 SAFETY FOR WOMEN: Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that with the aim of ensuring   safety of women in Haryana, four dedicated Fast Track Courts and 12 Special Fast Track Courts will be set up in the State to expedite trial of cases relating to crime against women and of sexual offences against children respectively. The Government would soon unveil a comprehensive Action Plan to tackle sexual and gender based violence, he added.
        Mr. Arya said that the State Government is committed to ensure gender equality and empowerment of women and girls. The efforts of the State in implementing Beti Bachao Beti Padhao have been duly recognized by Government of India.   He said the Safety of women would continue to be the priority of the State Government and for this free self defense training would be organized in schools. Apart from this, the number of women police personnel shall be increased. Also, CCTV cameras would be installed in sensitive public places to check crime against women, he added.  
          He said that State Government would strongly focus on further improving the status of women so that they may live with dignity and contribute as equal partners in the development process in an environment free from violence and discrimination. 
 SECURITY OF PEOPLE:  Reiterating the Commitment of the present State Government to make all efforts to maintain peace and provide security to the people of Haryana, the Haryana Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya said that an integrated emergency response system with centralized control room using latest IT Technology and GPS would be set up. The system would provide all emergency services related to hospital, police assistance, fire services etc. immediately upon a single call by any person in the state.
          This was stated by Governor, Mr Satyadeo Narain Arya, while delivering his address on the second day of the 14th Haryana Vidhan Sabha session here today. He said that the Forensic Science Laboratories would be strengthened through infusion of new technology and establishment of Mobile Forensic Units and regional forensic science laboratories at Hisar and Panchkula.
