By Haryananewswire
CHANDIGARH, APRIL 5
Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said that all necessary arrangements have been made for the purchase and storage of wheat in the State so that the farmers do not face any difficulty. Also, those farmers whose standing crops have been damaged due to rains recently would be compensated as per the policy of the State Government.
Mr. Hooda was interacting with the media persons after redressing the grievances of the people in Rohtak today.
Mr. Hooda said that the State Government aimed at providing roof to all. Therefore, the State Government has implemented Priyadarshini Awas Yojna (PAY) under which 3.50 lakh houses would be constructed within next two years for the poor people living below poverty line. Out of this, two lakhs houses would be constructed in rural areas and 1.5 lakh in urban areas. The State Government has made a provision in budget this year for implementation of the scheme.
The Chief Minister said that it was the dream of our freedom fighters that nobody remained deprived of food, clothing and roof. To realize this dream, the State Government has taken the decision to implement PAY. He said that for those who have a dream of independent houses, a blueprint of a scheme was being prepared under the Affordable Housing Scheme. Under this scheme, such families would be provided houses at a fixed price.
Mr. Hooda said that today, Haryana was progressing fast in every field and is a leading State in many spheres including education, health, sports and rural development. He maintained that uniform development was being ensured in the State.
In reply to another question, Mr. Hooda said that the number of flyovers constructed in the State during the last eight years was much more than the flyovers constructed from 1966 to 2005. He said that today opposition has no issue and they are not digesting the development taken place in the State. Mr. Hooda suggested the opposition leaders to wipe  their spectacles to see the real picture of development.
