Deepender Hooda's plea to Centre on rail-fare hike

CHANDIGARH, JULY 7
Member of Parliament  Deepender Singh Hooda has urged the BJP Government at the centre to roll back rail-fare hike on second class suburban trains  for daily passengers travelling upto 80 km in Delhi and NCR area on the same pattern as implemented in Mumbai.
Mr. Hooda was addressing during the Congress Workers’ protest against rail-fare hike by BJP-NDA led Central Government at Faridabad today. While strongly criticizing BJP-NDA led Government, Mr. Hooda said that whether this Government at centre has concern for Mumbai only. He said that Mumbai is only the Capital of Maharashtra, but Delhi is the Capital of the country. He said that keeping in view the Vidhan Sabha Elections due in next few months in Maharashtra, the hike in passenger fares to second-class suburban journey upto 80km has been rolled back there.
Mr. Hooda said that the MPs of BJP and Shiv Sena of Maharashtra had called on the Union Minister for Railways at New Delhi and got the rollback of these increased fares in Mumbai. He said that there are total 19 MPs in Delhi and National Capital Region out of which 18 belonged to BJP. He wondered why these MPs are not making any effort for the rollback of the decision of increased railway fare in Delhi and NCR area on the pattern of Mumbai. Mr. Hooda stressed that he would continue to struggle till the decision of increased railway fare in NCR area is withdrawn.

She said that the struggle of Congress would continue under leadership of MP Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda to rollback the decision of increased railway fares.
