Rs 486 crore sanctionee for development work for four towns

CHANDIGARH, JULY 15
The  Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, today approved Rs 485.93 crore for various development works to be carried out in four towns of the state.
      The Chief Minister was presiding over the 37thh meeting of Sub Committee of Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) here today.
          In was informed in the meeting that Rs.22.31 crore would be spent for development works of Pinjore in district Panchkula, Rs.59.24 crore for Faridabad, Rs. 23.17 crore for Hisar and Rs.381.21 crore for Gurgaon.
          It was apprised in the meeting that estimates of Rs.22.31 crore has been approved for construction of 24 m and 12 m wide internal roads in Sector 28, Pinjore-Kalka urban complex. Similarly, estimates of Rs.59.24 crore has been approved for expenses of internal road scheme in residential sector 78 and providing  master storm water drainage scheme of zone –VI, Faridabad.
          A sum of Rs. 23.17 crore was approved by the subcommittee for Hisar town for the construction of internal roads in sector-33 part-I urban estate, Hisar.
          Estimates of Rs. 381.21 crore has been approved for Gurgaon town for construction of 5.50 m wide service roads and construction of storm water drains along mater roads between various sectors and outer roads of sector-58, Gurgaon, for providing external storm water drainage scheme along master roads in various sectors, construction of out fall drain with RCC box drain from existing railway culvert no.47 and 50 upto Najafgarh drain, Gurgaon.
          Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. K.K. Khandelwal asked the Chief Administrator about functioning of Vigilance wing of the HUDA and said that it should be further strengthened so as to ensure more transparency in the functioning of authority especially in working of estate offices. The Chief Administrator apprised Dr. Khandelwal that Vigilance wing has been fully operational.

Those present in the meeting included Chief Secretary Mr. S.C. Choudhary, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. S.S. Dhillon, Additional Chief Secretary Finance Mr. Rajan Gupta, Principal Secretary, Town and Country Planning Department Mr. T.C. Gupta, Chief Administrator HUDA, Mr. A.K. Singh and other senior officers.
