Haryana Finance Department has issued instructions concerning functioning of the centralized Pension Disbursement Cell (PDC) which has been created for successfully implementing e-pension system in the state.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Finance Department said that e-pension system envisages a prompt and efficient delivery system where pensions gets credited into the accounts of the pensioners on the due date without any failure. Hence to fulfill this requirement, a centralized PDC has been created so as to ensure a prompt and efficient delivery system to all pensioners and family pensioners.
Detailing about the functioning of PDC, he said that it would ensure credit of pension in the accounts of pensioners on due date and also ensure increase in dearness allowance rates as soon as government instructions are issued in this regard. The Cell would also ensure immediate release of dearness allowance arrear and timely revision of pension wherever the need arises.
Similarly, PDC would ensure timely disbursal of LTC allowance after due procedure. It would also ensure release of pension arrears arising on account of different reasons and release of life time arrears to eligible persons. The PDC would also ensure the revision and release various allowances, release of additional pension on attaining of specific age, restore commuted portion of pension after specified period of time and revise pension accordingly, release of gratuity or revised gratuity from time to time to eligible, release of commutation or revised commutation from time to time, to make recovery from pension or gratuity, if any and to start giving family pension to eligible member of family after following due procedure. It would also perform any other functions as specified by the government.
He said that instructions have also been issued regarding responsibilities of Treasury Officers and Assistant Treasury Officers.
