CHANDIGARH, OCT 26
Following the decision to take action against striking employees of National Health Mission (NHM), Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij, today directed the concerned officers to prepare for recruitment of fresh staff so as to ensure uninterrupted provision of health services in the State.
The Minister, who was presiding over a meeting of officers of the Department, directed Director General, Health Services Department, Dr. Kamla Singh, to ensure that essential services in all hospitals remained uninterrupted.
Mission Director, NHM, Dr. Saket Kumar, said that all NHM employees in several districts had returned to duty and action was being taken against those who had failed to do so.
Meanwhile, a large number of striking employees today met Dr. Saket Kumar and appealed to him to reinstate the dismissed employees. However, the Mission Director denied their demand and urged them to call off their strike.
