Haryana providing 117 e-Services to public

CHANDIGARH, OCT 24
 Haryana Information, Public Relations and Languages Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain said that 117 e-Services were being provided to the people of the state through 125 e-Disha centres. Besides, 3,160 Common Service Centres have been opened in the State for facilitating the people.
        Mrs. Kavita Jain was speaking after launching Haryana and Punjab webpage of Khas Khabar news portal (www.khaskhabar.com) alongwith Vice Chairman, National Commission for Scheduled Castes, Dr. Raj Kumar Verka here today.
        She said that social media was playing a significant and effective role by making possible exchange of news at rapid pace. News serves as a mirror to the society and media is playing a significant role in taking welfare schemes and policies of the government to the people, she added.
GEETA CALLS ON ANIL VIJ: Wrestler, Geeta Phogat called on Haryana Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij here today to thank him as the State Government has appointed her as Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
          Ms Geeta had won a gold medal in Commonwealth Games.
RECRUITMENT OF DOCTORS: Haryana Health Minister  Anil Vij has directed the concerned officers of the Department to soon prepare a cadre of specialist doctors so that recruitment of doctors could be made on its basis.
        The Health Minister, who was presiding over a review meeting of the Department here today, also directed to specify the number of posts of specialist doctors. Besides, keeping in view the demand of the doctors, he said that Medical Officers would be promoted to the post of Assistant Senior Medical Officer after a fixed period of time.
          Mr. Vij said that the Department would also implement a scheme to prepare Health Cards of all people in the State under which about 36 necessary tests would be conducted after a fixed interval. It was also being considered to link these health cards with Aadhaar Cards so that people may not face any problem in assessing their records anytime at any place.
         He also sought a report regarding delay being caused in computerisation of Civil hospital at Ambala  .
        Additional Chief Secretary, Health, Mr. Rajan Gupta, Mission Director, National Health Mission, Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General, Health, Dr. Kamla Singh and other senior officers of the Department were also present in the meeting.
EX-GRATIA INCREASED: The Haryana Government has increased the amount of ex-gratia admissible to the Home Guards and Civil Defence Volunteers, in case they suffer serious injury or die while on duty.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Home Guards and Civil Defence Department said that in case of death, an ex-gratia of Rs five lakh would be admissible to the dependents of the deceased as against Rs one lakh earlier. He said that in case of serious injury, the amount of ex-gratia has been doubled from Rs 50,000 to Rs one lakh.
