CHANDIGARH, OCT 26
The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today said that the final hearing on the issue of Sutlej Yamuna Link (SYL) Canal has been completed by the Supreme Court, but it has reserved its verdict. He hoped that the decision of the Court would be in favour of Haryana.
Mr Manohar Lal, who was addressing a press conference after presiding over a meeting of the State Cabinet here today, hoped that the Supreme Court would soon deliver its verdict.
He said that the issue of SYL had been lying pending in the Supreme Court for presidential reference for the last 12 years. But the Present State Government strongly pleaded the case in the Supreme Court and ensured its regular hearing.
