Haryana Chief Minister Mr Manohar Lal has accorded administrative approval of Rs 145 crore for the construction of three Railway Over Bridges (ROBs) and 10 Railway Under Bridges (RUBs) on the level crossings of Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors passing through the State.
While stating this here today, Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh said that total length of the dedicated freight corridor passing through Haryana would be about 274 kms and it would pass through districts Mahendragarh, Rewari, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Palwal and Nuh. He said that Rs 100 crore have already been approved for construction of four ROBs falling on the dedicated freight corridor route in Rewari and Narnaul districts.
Giving details of the ROBs to be constructed, the Minister said that a two-lane ROB would be constructed on Mohri-Keshri-Bihta road at level crossing 117 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line at Kasri in district Ambala at an estimated cost of Rs 25 crore whereas another two-lane ROB would be constructed on Ladwa-Mustfabad road at level crossing 106 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line in district Yamunanagar at a cost of Rs 25 crore. Similarly, approval has also been granted for construction of a two-lane ROB on NH-73 to Old Radour road at level crossing 98 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line in district Yamunanagar at a cost of Rs 35 crore.
Rao Narbir Singh said that in district Ambala, five two-lane RUBs would be constructed, including on internal road of Barara at level crossing 111, Manav Chowk to railway crossing at level crossing 126, Naya Gaon to Krishna Colony at level crossing 127, Ladwa-Mustafabad road at level crossing 107 and Jandli to Kaulan at level crossing 124 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line at an estimated cost of Rs five crore each. Similarly, the construction of two-lane RUB on Pansara-Sahjadpur road at level crossing 97 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line in Ambala would be undertaken at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.
The Minister said that approval had also been accorded for construction of three two-lane RUBs on Jagadhari-Ambala road at level crossing 118, Chanderpur link road, Yamunanagar at level crossing 99, and on Mandebar to Farakpur at level crossing 100 on Ambala-Saharanpur railway line in district Yamunanagar. These RUBs would be constructed at an estimated expenditure of Rs five crore each. In addition, RUB would also be constructed on Narnaul to Bhroad at level crossing 42 on Rewari-Fulera railway line in district Mahendragarh at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.
He said that Eastern Freight Dedicated Corridor would start from Ludhiana-Ambala-Saharanpur-Meerut up to Dankuni in West Bengal, whereas Western Dedicated Freight Corridor would start from Delhi-Rewari up to Mumbai.

In addition, RUB would also be constructed on Narnaul to Bhroad at level crossing 42 on Rewari-Fulera railway line in district Mahendragarh at an estimated cost of Rs 10 crore.
He said that Eastern Freight Dedicated Corridor would start from Ludhiana-Ambala-Saharanpur-Meerut up to Dankuni in West Bengal, whereas Western Dedicated Freight Corridor would start from Delhi-Rewari up to Mumbai.
