Haryana to observe 'United Nations Day' on October 24

CHANDIGARH, OCT 15
The Haryana Government has decided to observe 'United Nations Day' on October 24, 2016 in a befitting manner.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of the office of Chief Secretary said that all the Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners in the state have been asked to organise joint programmes by the Government and Non-Governmental Organisations on this day. United Nations Flag along with National Flag should be hoisted at public places in all district headquarters. They have also been asked to organise social functions, group meetings, seminars, poster competitions, essay writing competitions, declamation contest and talks on the duties of United Nations Organisation.
TGT TRANSFER PROCESS: Haryana Education Minister, Ram Bilas Sharma, said that under the ongoing transfer process, the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) and Classical and Vernacular (C and V) category teachers in the State could register their preference for school and zone on the MIS portal from October 18 to 21, 2016. Earlier, October 14 was the last date for indicating their preference.
    The Education Minister, who was in a meeting with representatives of ‘Haryana Rajkiya Adhyapak Sangh’ here today, said that the online process for transfer of teachers was under progress and in view of the demand of teachers, the option of ‘YES’ on the portal had been made available again for those teachers who have not completed five years on their present place of posting and still wish to get transferred.
    He said that the teachers could again select option ‘YES’ on the portal on October 16 and 17, 2016. Besides, the Department has also carried out fresh allocation of subjects in schools and now teachers could again give their preference for school and zone on the portal from October 18 to 21, 2016, he added.
EXPENDITURE CEILING INCREASED: Haryana Government has decided to increase the expenditure ceiling for officers for participating in training programmes, seminars and workshops.
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Chief Secretary Office said that expenditure limit of Rs 40,000 has been decided for All India Services Officers such as IAS and IPS and other officers posted as Head of Department or above (in addition to the mandatory training). Similarly, Rs 30,000 has been decided for Haryana Civil Services and Haryana Police Services officers (in addition to the mandatory training) and Rs 20,000 for all other officers. These instructions would be applicable to officers of all departments participating in training programmes, seminars and workshops, he added.
        A written communication in this regard has been sent to all Administrative Secretaries, Heads of Departments, Divisional Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners and Sub Divisional Officers (Civil) in the State.
GERMANY ENTREPRENEURS: Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation (Independent Charge), Mr. Manish Kumar Grover, met several prominent personalities of Germany and invited entrepreneurs from the country to invest in Haryana.
    The Minister, who is on a personal visit to Germany from October 8 to 17, 2016, said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, the Haryana Government had taken many unique initiatives to promote industries in the State. Several new industrial units are being established in the State as a result of these efforts, he added.
    He said that the State Government was also providing several facilities to entreprenuers under ease of doing business. An Industrial Model Township has been established in Rohtak where special facilities are being provided to the entrepreneurs, he added.
    During the visit, the Minister was informed about the German culture, food, educational system and the amenities being provided to the people. He was also informed that Germany has abundant potential in the automobile sector.
ASTROTURF STADIUM: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal would inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various projects in Ellenabad, district Sirsa on October 16, 2016.
        While stating this today, a spokesman of District Administration, Sirsa said that the Chief Minister would inaugurate the Astroturf Hockey Stadium set up at a cost of over Rs 5 crore in Shri Guru Hari Singh College, Jiwan Nagar. Also, he would inaugurate a 33KV Sub Station set up at a cost of Rs 2.32 crore in Sector 19 of Sirsa and a Railway Over Bridge in Dabwali.
        He said that on this occasion, the Chief Minister would also lay foundation stone of Railway Under Bridge on a railway crossing at Ellenabad-Nohar road which would cost about Rs five crore and after that, the Chief Minister would address a huge public rally.
On the same day, the Chief Minister would address a public rally in Kharkhoda, district Sonipat, he added.
SWARAN JAYANTI:  Haryana Government has designated Under Secretary, Haryana Swarna Jayanti Celebrations Authority as First Appellate Authority in respect of the Authority under the Right to Information Act.
MOBILE APPLICATION: Haryana Governor, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, today launched mobile application ‘Chandigarh My City My App’, which would allow users to access all information related to the City.
        Describing Chandigarh as a beautiful and pleasant city, the Governor, who launched the application at Haryana Raj Bhavan here, said that tourists and people in the city would get updated information about the city through this application released by Amar Ujala newspaper publishing group. The mobile application would have information related to weather, tourist spots and markets, he added.
        On the occasion, Resident Editor of the Publication, Mr. Sanjay Abhigyan gave detailed information about the mobile application.
