HAFED earns net profit of Rs. 38.06 crore

CHANDIGARH, Oct 22
The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation  (HAFED) has  earned   net profit of Rs. 38.06 crore after tax for the financial year 2015-16 whereas its   net profit after tax for the year 2014-15 was  Rs. 20.31 crore.
          While stating this today, Chairman, HAFED, Mr Harvinder Kalyan said that the Minister of State for Cooperation,  Mr Manish Grover  has decided that, the cooperative federations like HAFED and the Haryana Dairy Development Federation would work jointly to market their quality products   to the people. Also,  during the Golden Jubilee year of Haryana, the HAFED would focus on marketing of its products not only in Haryana, but also in other states of the country. 
          He said that the HAFED has  achieved a higher turnover of Rs. 8,780 crore during the year 2015-16 as compared to that of Rs.8,501 crore in the previous financial year.
          He said that the HAFED is the largest apex cooperative federation in the State. It came into existence on November 1st, 1966 with the formation of Haryana as a separate State. For the last 50 years, it has been playing a leading role in serving the farmers of the State as well as customers in India by providing hygienic and high quality agri-processed products like Kachhi Ghani Mustard Oil, Chakki Atta, Basmati Rice, Soybean oil and Sugar. Besides this it is also manufacturing and selling its cattle feed products to the farmers.
